On this day in 1980, a historic moment unfolded at Georgetown Baptist Church. Evangelist Billy Graham delivered a powerful sermon, with President Jimmy Carter and then-Vice President George H.W. Bush both in attendance. The atmosphere was one of reverence and unity, as leaders from different walks of life gathered to witness a message of hope and faith. As the service concluded, President Carter was captured waving goodbye, a symbolic gesture of fellowship and grace. A truly memorable day in both our nation’s history and the life of this church.

We lift his family and loved ones in prayer for the comfort and the peace of God to be with them.
