TWO HEISTS THAT CHANGED HISTORY (3-minute read)
“Thieves steal crown jewels in 4 minutes from Louvre Museum.” — Associated Press
A few days ago, thieves slipped into the Louvre Museum in Paris. It played out like something from Ocean’s Eleven—quick, calculated, and gone before anyone even realized what had happened.
In just minutes, priceless Napoleonic jewels vanished.
Alarms went off, guards responded—but by then, the damage was done.
That scene mirrors something far older—the first heist in human history.
When Satan Stole Dominion
---
In Eden, the serpent crept through the window of deception.
He didn’t need weapons—just words. “Did God really say?”
With that whisper, humanity handed over its crown.
Authority was stolen. Fellowship was fractured. The world became the crime scene.
• The World became corrupted by sin’s system.
• The Flesh became the inside man—our own desires turning
against us.
• The Devil became the false ruler, holding creation hostage
through death.
Like those tourists in the Louvre, humanity didn’t realize what had been stolen… until it was gone.

But Christ Took It All Back
Heaven launched a counter-strike. On the Cross, Jesus entered the enemy’s stronghold—not through a window, but through a tomb.
“He disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”
— Colossians 2:15
Hell thought it had pulled off the perfect crime—until the stone rolled away.
The true King broke into the vault of death, took back the keys of hell and the grave (Revelation 1:18), and restored authority to His people.
Where the first Adam lost the crown, the Second Adam reclaimed it. Where the world, the flesh, and the devil conspired to rob us, Jesus turned the tables and walked out with the spoils of victory.

Don’t live like a tourist trembling in the gallery of chaos. Live like a soldier of the risen King.
The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead now lives in you (Romans 8:11).
The enemy may still bang on the glass, but his power is broken.
“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” — James 4:7
I’ll see you on the battlefield, but in the meantime…
