A New Year Call to Global Faith Leaders

As we enter a new year, God is calling His leaders to stand without compromise. This is not a season for silence or confusion, but for bold declaration.

We reaffirm our foundation in God’s unchanging truth—not culture, not convenience.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

We renew our commitment to peace—peace built on righteousness, justice, and reconciliation.
“Blessed are the peacemakers.” (Matthew 5:9)

We accept our responsibility for accountability—in ourselves, our leadership, and our institutions.
“From everyone who has been given much, much will be required.” (Luke 12:48)

This year, we choose obedience over popularity, integrity over influence, and courage over comfort.
“We must obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:29)

This is our watch. This is our moment. Let us lead boldly.

A Message from Archbishop Dr. Johnny Myles Riley Jr.
Presiding Prelate, Bridging The Gaps Ministries International

To the beloved people of Nigeria and to the nations of the world,

I stand in deep sorrow and righteous indignation over the recent attacks on the communities of Plateau State, Nigeria. The bloodshed, destruction, and trauma inflicted upon innocent lives—especially our Christian brothers and sisters—is a stain on humanity and a call to the conscience of the world.

I unequivocally condemn these acts of violence. The targeting of any community—by reason of faith, ethnicity, or identity—is an offense not only against God but against the sacred value of life.

To those who suffer: you are not forgotten. You are not alone. We mourn with you. We pray for you. And we will advocate for justice, healing, and restoration in your land.

To global leaders, faith communities, and all people of goodwill: now is the time to stand. Not in silence. Not in neutrality. But in truth, love, and action. Let us be repairers of the breach and instruments of peace in a broken world.

Let hatred be met with hope. Let violence be overturned by vision. And may the peace of Christ reign where chaos has tried to take hold.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” – Matthew 5:9

With a burdened heart but unshaken faith,

Archbishop Dr. Johnny Myles Riley Jr.
Presiding Prelate

✨ Coming Clean: The Power of Confession ✨

What does it mean to come clean and confess? It’s more than just admitting our mistakes—it’s about releasing the weight of sin, embracing God’s grace, and allowing Him to transform our failures into testimonies.

Romans 3:23 reminds us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” None of us are perfect, but through Jesus Christ, our shortcomings don’t define us. Instead, they become powerful messages of redemption, healing, and growth.

Confession isn’t about condemnation—it’s about restoration. When we come before God with a sincere heart, we open the door for renewal, peace, and deeper spiritual growth.

Are you ready to let go and let God? Surrender your burdens today and experience His unending grace!

DECLARATION OF 40 DAYS OF FASTING AND PRAYER

February 12, 2025 – March 25, 2025

_”Blow the trumpet in Zion! Consecrate a fast; proclaim a solemn assembly!”_ – Joel 2:15

Whereas, we, as the Body of Christ, are called to seek the face of the Lord in prayer and fasting, humbling ourselves before Him to receive His guidance, wisdom, and breakthrough for our lives, families, churches, communities, and nations;

Whereas, we acknowledge our deep need for spiritual renewal, divine intervention, and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our ministries, businesses, and endeavors;

Whereas, we stand firm on the promises of God’s Word, believing that through fasting and prayer, strongholds will be broken, revival will be ignited, and supernatural transformation will take place;

Now, therefore, I, Bishop Johnny Riley, under the leading of the Holy Spirit, declare and decree that these 40 days, from February 12 to March 25, 2025, shall be set apart as a sacred time of fasting, prayer, and seeking God’s will.

Purpose of the Fast
During these 40 days, we will:
1. Seek God’s Presence and Direction – Drawing closer to Him through daily devotion, worship, and meditation on His Word. (Psalm 27:8)
2. Repent and Consecrate Ourselves – Asking for forgiveness, cleansing, and renewal in our hearts and lives. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
3. Intercede for the Nations – Praying for revival, peace, and justice in our communities and across the world. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

5. Activate Kingdom Assignments – Aligning ourselves with God’s purpose for this season in ministry, business, and personal growth. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)
6. Pray for Families, Churches, and Leaders – Seeking God’s covering and wisdom for all spiritual and community leaders. Divine breakthroughs in broken relationship, marriage and parent & Children relationship. (Ephesians 6:18)
7. Declare Supernatural Provision – Believing for divine breakthroughs, resources, and expansion. (Philippians 4:19)

- Meditate on the Word of God and journal reflections, revelations, and answered prayers.

In what language was the Bible first written?
The first human author to write down the biblical record was Moses. He was commanded by God to take on this task, for Exodus 34:27 records God’s words to Moses, “Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.” And what language did he use? He wrote in his native language, called Hebrew.

Hebrew is one of a group of languages known as the Semitic languages which were spoken throughout that part of the world, then called Mesopotamia, located today mainly in Iraq. Their alphabet consisted of 22 letters, all consonants. (Imagine having an alphabet with no vowels! Much later they did add vowels.)

During the thousand years of its composition, almost the entire Old Testament was written in Hebrew. But a few chapters in the prophecies of Ezra and Daniel and one verse in Jeremiah were written in a language called Aramaic. This language became very popular in the ancient world and actually displaced many other languages. Aramaic even became the common language spoken in Israel in Jesus’ time, and it was likely the language He spoke day by day. Some Aramaic words were even used by the Gospel writers in the New Testament.

The New Testament, however, was written in Greek. This seems strange, since you might think it would be either Hebrew or Aramaic. However, Greek was the language of scholarship during the years of the composition of the New Testament from 50 to 100 AD. The fact is that many Jews could not even read Hebrew anymore, and this disturbed the Jewish leaders a lot! So, around 300 BC a translation of the Old Testament from Hebrew into Greek was undertaken, and it was completed around 200 BC. Gradually this Greek translation of the Old Testament, called the Septuagint, was widely accepted and was even used in many synagogues. It also became a wonderful missionary tool for the early Christians, for now the Greeks could read God’s Word in their own tongue.

So the New Testament authors wrote in Greek. They did not, however, use really high-class or classical Greek, but a very common and everyday type of Greek. For many years some scholars ridiculed the Greek of the New Testament because many of its words were strange to those who read the writings of the great Greek classical authors such as Plato and Aristotle. But later many records were uncovered of ordinary people, and amazingly there were the same common terms used in everyday speech! The ridicule dried up accordingly.

The earliest copies of parts of the Hebrew Old Testament were discovered in 1947. They are part of the famous Dead Sea Scrolls and actually date back to the first century BC. Even though they are at least 900 years older than any parts of the Bible we had before this, they are not the originals. They are copies. The originals have all been lost or destroyed. But this is not a cause for dismay. We’re almost certain what the original text said. Copying by scribes was done with great care in those days and because the text was regarded as sacred, the copyists were extremely painstaking. Today some 5000 hand-copied documents exist of all or part of the Bible, and they agree in 98% of the text! No other ancient writing has this amount of underlying support with such amazing agreement as to the text.

Yes, we do have what God wanted us to have! By way of translation, we now have His revelation in our own language and in 2300 other languages, too. Today we have the very Bible that comes to us from the three languages used in the original. Truly we can say, “God speaks my language, too!”
