Many thanks to Fr. Andrew Gonzalo, Johanna Robinson and the generous parishioners of Our Lady of Victory Church on MacArthur Boulevard NW for their enthusiastic participation in the 13th Annual Summer in the City food drive to support our food pantries in the District. Fr. Andy was previously pastor of one of the churches where we now have a food pantry and co-founded that pantry with us, that now is our second largest pantry. Great way to begin our first of three drives today.

Now you can download and read Pope Leo XIV's Magnifica Humanitas, the first encyclical of his pontificate. The document was released by the Holy See on May 25, 2026.
The encyclical develops the Churchʼs social teaching in light of artificial intelligence, situating new questions of human dignity, labor, and the common good within the tradition that runs from Rerum Novarum through Centesimus Annus and Laudato Si'.

On this Memorial Day, the Our Lady of Victory parish family remembers in prayer the men and women of our armed forces who laid down their lives for their country and those they served to protect. May they be resting in the eternal peace of Heaven. "This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends" (John 15:12-13).
