Tomorrow is the last day of school for DC kids! Summer can be a tough time for kids from homes that are food insecure because school-based meals are harder to access.

Stop by A Pantry For All Souls at 15th and Harvard and leave some snacks, fruit, summer drinks, or other supplies to help kids have a great summer!🍎🍉🧀🧃

This is a great activity for kids during the holiday season.

See below for a calendar with some ideas, or use your imagination!

🚧 🚧 🚧 CONSTRUCTION ALERT 🚧 🚧 🚧

We’re getting a new pantry! After 2 years with the current cabinets, we’re working on construction of a new pantry structure that will be bigger, easier to organize, and easier to repair. Sometime in June, Friend of the Pantry Eddie will take down the current cabinets and install the new pantry. So, if you stop by the pantry in the next few weeks and it’s not there, do not worry! We’ll be back up and running soon.

Here's a volunteer opportunity that will help our wider community around the church!

Are you an artist? Do you have experience with lettering or sign-making?

A Pantry for All Souls, our Little Free Pantry on 15th Street, is getting a brand-new design and structure, and we need some help making it look beautiful. If you have a good eye for color, experience with painting signs, or even just a flair for design, we need your help!

Happy New Year! Looking for a new way to help your neighbors in 2022? Become a Pantry Steward with A Pantry for All Souls!

We need a few additional stewards to help keep the pantry clean and in good working order. Pantry stewards go by the pantry 2-3 times per month, remove anything that shouldn’t be in the pantry like perishable food or glass containers, and note what supplies are in the pantry when they’re there.

Volunteering as a steward takes about 10 minutes 2-3 times per month, and requires being able to visit the pantry in person. No donation is required to be a steward, and stewards are welcome to take supplies from the pantry when they visit.

If you’d like to volunteer as a steward, you can sign up at the link below. Any other questions? Leave a comment here, or email us at [email protected].
