What happens when you say “yes” to God?

On New Year’s Day 2025, we launched The Upper Room as a house church in the home of Pastors Felix and Rashelle Martinez. Just two months later, we closed the doors of our home gatherings because God opened the doors to a larger space where we could worship Him together.

What we didn’t know was that the S. Hackett building was only part of the story.
God was already preparing something bigger!

Through His faithfulness, He blessed us with our own building to call home. A place where people can gather, worship, and encounter Jesus. Since March 2026, we have been gathering in Washburn, just 12 minutes from downtown Waterloo.

We recently made a soft transition from The Upper Room to AposentoAlto. We are still the same church, with the same mission and the same heart for Jesus. We simply embraced this name to reflect our roots and our community. We continue to welcome people from all walks of life, and we translate our services so that more people can hear the Gospel and feel at home.

Looking back, we can see His hand in every step. Looking ahead, we are excited to see all that God will continue to do.

This is our story. Celebrate with us what God has done.
