This morning, Miss Hannah and Miss Priscilla came and shared about our sponsor child in Kenya named Nesta! We talked about what Kenya is like and what some of Nesta’s needs are as well as the needs of his community.

Our Anchor kiddos have the opportunity to be involved in something bigger than themselves, their community, and their church! We will now have a Nesta jar available for our kids to put their money to go towards Nesta’s needs. We encouraged the kids not to just ask for money but to earn it and consider giving a portion of their earning to help support Nesta. We also talked about the importance of supporting Nesta and his family with prayer throughout our week.

And! (Yes it gets EVEN BETTER) Each month Miss Hannah and Miss Priscilla will come and fill us in on how Nesta is doing and our kids will have the opportunity to write a letter to him! Not only are we so excited for this beautiful relationship with Nesta to grow, but also for the opportunity equip and empower our kids to start thinking outside themselves to truly be the hands and feet of Jesus! ♥️

Captured this moment at our Kickball Bonfire Event… I thought “oh what a cute moment.” But after rewatching it a few times it hit me. This is what our heavenly father is like… waiting for us with open arms.

How many times, even just yesterday, I struggled to figure something out, or wrestled through past hurts, or have been so busy doing all the things in my own strength and feel completely burnt out with nothing left to give. (Yes I felt these all in one day 😂)

How faithful is God to speak to me to encourage my heart with His love through rewatching this simple video! It’s reminded me to stop, look up, be filled with joy and RUN to our rescuer, our safe place, our loving father. ❤️
