We have a wonderful, well formed program this year. A World Tour! We will learn about five saints from five different countries. Largely focused on the virtues of Faith, Hope and Love.
The dates will be June 15 thru June 19. The time will be 5pm to 8pm. Due to the time of day we will have a hardy snack at 5:00. We will have a mass and short
Eucharistic Adoration on the last night. By short I mean 5-10 minutes in silent prayer and then we exit in silence .
We will have music and crafts every night. We will also incorporate The Cheerful Giver, as a way for the kids to learn simple giving by collecting canned goods each night for the Gallatin County Food Pantry. (The big barrel in the back of church)
So that was a short overview of this year's VBS. There are so many ways you can help. We understand not everyone can help every night. So there will be plenty of ways you could schedule your VBS time. Please let me know via response to this email. What would you like to help with? Snacks, Crafts, Activities, Music? What nights would you be available? I already know we will Need help on Tuesday night. Hint Hint.
We are so thankful that so many of our church family are showing interest in VBS. It will be a week of learning, fun and fellowship of young and old. Our kids will keep the memories for a lifetime. For me my memories are of doing crafts around the table which is still in the garage, eating lunch under the pine trees and on a rainy day playing hide and seek in the church. Father Ruschman was okay with it. Mary Joe Mylor (mother) quickly put a stop to it. That may be why you hear me telling the grand kids, no running in church, keep your voice down.
We look forward to your response. Please let us know one way or the other if you are a yes, no or maybe.
Thanks again for your time and attention.
