THE FROZEN CHOSEN

Tonight the Identity Teens got into the Christmas spirit and helped decorate Leigh Ann’s Christmas trees! Only one person got wrapped up in the lights and another got covered in glitter, so we count this as a success!
After the festivities, we continued the “We Are Chosen” series by watching Season 1, Episode 3 of the The Chosen. Tonight’s episode was centered around Jesus in the earliest days of His ministry, and how He used a group of children to be some of His first evangelists to spread the Gospel.
After some discussion about our lesson, we decided to finish the night with some karaoke ft. the Frozen soundtrack, which was pretty fitting for the weather lately!

Terrance Lee Talley came to GCC and preached two amazing services. He covered the topics of “Garbage Love” and “Guard Your Heart”, then opened up the alter call and made sure to pray with the teens. The Spirit really moved throughout both services, and it was a pleasure getting to support and pray with our brothers and sisters in Christ. It was truly an amazing night ⛪️

To continue our “We are Chosen” lessons, we watched episode two of “The Chosen” where we learned about traditions and the importance of holy reverence. The lessons are told throughout the stories of Mary Magdalene, Matthew, Simeon Peter, and Andrew, and seeing how they spend their Shabbat (Sabbath Day, Chosen style), reflecting on their relationships with God, friends, and their families. As always, it was a great night of fellowship, with some great people.

Tonight the GCC Identity Teens met up and continued our “Anchored in Grace” series by studying John Ch. 7, led by our guests Elijah and Alliyah Beers. Chapter 7 discussed a lot about how outside forces can influence our walk with Jesus, and on the contrary, how through our walk with Jesus can influence those outside forces in return. After some ice breakers and getting to know each other a little, the Beer’s joined the teens in a giant game of Jackpot football, where some elbows were thrown and laughs were exchanged (as of right now, no new reported injuries😂)

If you’re interested or missed out on tonight’s meeting, everyone is always welcome to join in on the friends and fellowship next Sunday at 5!✝️

Tonight the teens met and discussed John 4: 1-28 and had an amazing discussion about the “Woman at the Well” and about how God can move through Devine Appointments. Lots of great questions were asked and discussed so we decided to finish chapter 4 at the next teen meeting and really focus on this woman’s amazing story tonight.

Afterwards….

As the fall weather heads this way, you know what comes with it… FOOTBALL 🏈! With the help of Larry Dean Brock (aka Coach and Quarterback for both teams), the teens put on a rousing game of Kroger Bag/Flag football and absolutely wore each other out😂
