We call ourselves "The First Church of Misfits" and we have learned to embrace our differences. We come from all walks of life and from many different backgrounds. If you have ever felt like you just didn't quite fit in at other churches you may find your place here at The Church of Living Water. We choose to focus on what we have in common rather than our differences. Jesus is the one who brings us together in unity to worship God and serve our community with a genuine love for one another.
We are a family of people who don’t have it all together. In fact, some of us are just a downright mess. We are learning together what it means to find unity in Jesus, give our lives fully to Him, to let go of our pasts and walk in victory together. Many of us are still overcoming hurts habits and hang-ups. Our leaders have overcome many of the same struggles in life and hope to use what they have learned to help others along this road of life. If you are perfect and everything in your life is in perfect order then this may not be the place for you.
We Want To Get To Know You!
We don’t always recognize the first-time visitors because so many of the people who come are still fairly new, so feel free to say, “This is my first time” and we’ll guide you in! We know visiting a new church can be intimidating so we would really like to introduce you to a few people and help you find your way around. Every service begins with a time of fellowship and just enjoying being together, We aren't late getting started this is actually part of our worship service. It is important to take time to get to know one another and encourage one another, Church isn't just somewhere to go, it is something to be a part of. It becomes a big extended family. This family likes to talk and hug and even cut up a little.
We also like to invite our new folks to have dinner with the leaders so be sure to fill out the connection card so we can contact you for our next newcomer dinner.
What Should You Wear?
We care about YOU, not what you’re wearing! We want you to feel welcome just as you are! If you like to dress up then feel free to do so. If you are more comfortable in Jeans or flip flops then that is just fine. Our dress code is simple: wear something.
What to Expect When You Visit
Sundays - 10:00 am - Worship service
We have one main service on Sunday mornings. We begin with worship through music, followed by a time of teaching, and we close with a prayer time and more music. Pastors at Living Water teach out of the Bible and bring messages of truth, hope, and love. Adult services are held at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Wildcat Drive in Warsaw, MO. (Next to Living Water Church)
Worship
Our services have music that is lively, the praise band has drums, keyboards and guitars. We sing many of the songs you hear on Christian radio as well as original songs. We also enjoy some of the older hymns and songs. We have monitors on each side of the platform area to display words s to the songs. We do not use hymnals or song books. Don’t be surprised when some people clap or raise their hands as a sign of praise while singing, and don’t feel obligated to do so yourself. If you are more reserved with your worship we respect that also. We create an atmosphere of freedom in our services and believe worship should be between you and God.
Preaching & Teaching
We believe the Bible is the basis for all preaching and teaching done at Living Water. While our pastors and youth teachers strive to make their messages exciting and fun, they do not compromise the Word of God. We like to have fun and it is okay to laugh or shout Amen! We do all of these things respectfully as to honor God and respect one another. If you are use to dry sermons that are easy to sleep through, we are sorry but you will not find those here.
