This coming Sunday Memorial Day Weekend will be viewed from a biblical worldview of eternity. A few Sundays ago, we commissioned two brothers into military service: Dallas Lancaster (Coast Guard) and Josh (and Kaitlyn) Pettifor (Army chaplaincy). Our fellowship's Eagle Commission just released this news update about Josh, and we are happy to be part of it.

*Josh Pettifor Is Officially In.*
Josh has received his paperwork and is now officially a Chaplain Candidate with the Army Reserve. Josh and his wife, Kaitlyn, attend Community Grace Church in Warsaw, Indiana. Army Chaplain Billy Graham, whose home church is GCW, commissioned Josh, while Pastor Reg Overstreet led the congregation in prayer for them. Chaplain Candidates are typically seminary students, and Josh is currently a resident student at Grace Seminary. His next steps are to complete seminary and gain ministry experience before applying to become a chaplain. Please continue to pray for Josh and Kaitlyn as they follow God’s call to ministry.

We've been so busy the last few weeks and we hope you have seen some of the progress happening throughout our building! Here's a peek into the Kitchen and Fellowship Hall as many have been hard at work making those spaces look GREAT! We're a few weeks away from LCA's move and our campus looking completely different.

Last Sunday's services closed with a very special double commissioning: of Dallas Lancaster to the U.S. Coastguard, followed by Josh (Kaitlyn) Pettifor's official oath ceremony into U.S. Army Chaplaincy. As Chaplain Billy Graham said, as Christians, each share the same mission of Christ. One (a chaplain) will be expected to talk about God; one (a rescue diver) will not be expected to talk about God. Both will impact the kingdom. We commit to praying for both to preach Jesus' glorious gospel in all their words and actions in these ripe mission fields which we appreciate.
