The enemy doesn’t need to destroy you.
He just needs to distract you.

In Roman warfare, arrows were dipped in resin and set on fire — not just to wound, but to create chaos.

The goal wasn’t always impact.
It was panic.

Fear.
Offense.
Isolation.
Accusation.

Flaming darts.

But faith doesn’t just block the arrow —
it extinguishes the flame.

“…with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.”
— Ephesians 6:16

The enemy doesn’t need to destroy you.
He just needs to distract you.

In Roman warfare, arrows were dipped in fire to create chaos — not just casualties.
If the shield caught fire, the soldier would drop it.
And once the shield dropped, fear spread.

Ephesians 6:16 says to take up the Shield of Faith — not occasionally. Not emotionally. But intentionally.

Don’t drop your shield because of heat.
Don’t drop your shield because of distraction.
Don’t drop your shield because of fear.

Faith isn’t passive. It’s protective.
