When he refused to burn incense to the Roman Emperor, he was ordered to be burned at the stake. When the soldiers were ordered to nail his hands to the stake, he told them to keep their nails, because if Christ put him in that situation then Christ would also grant him the strength to endure that situation. Talk about confidence!
