Members of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church took the lead in running the kitchen for today’s Grand Opening of Tuesday’s Table, Warren County’s first soup kitchen.

Spearheaded by the church in partnership with Loaves & Fishes food pantry and host site Warrenton Rural Vol. Fire Dept., this call to serve is more than just a soup kitchen. Tuesday's Table seeks to provide not only a lunchtime meal, but also fellowship, referrals to resources for those in need, and a means for building relationships and community through a shared purpose.

We’ll be serving lunch only on the first and third Tuesdays during June and July, then we will expand to every Tuesday beginning in August. Our hours will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesdays only.

Thank you to our partner, the Warrenton Rural Vol. Fire Department, for graciously allowing us to use their beautiful commercial kitchen and community room to help us bring this vision to life in the mission of service to our community.

Thanks also to our parent organization Loaves & Fishes Ministries, Warren County’s food pantry and a vital resource to so many.

Join us this evening at 7 p.m. as Nara Melkonyan, who works with Project Agape, will be at Wesley Memorial UMC to share news about the project that was started in Armenia in 1989 to provide relief to those impacted by a disastrous earthquake. This informational and conversational meeting with Nara will be held in the sanctuary. A reception will follow the gathering. Everyone is welcome!
