Our Story
The family services office provides emergency assistance for basic needs (i.e., utility, food, lodging, clothing, etc.). The funding that we are able to distribute comes from the community that we serve and from our partnership with The United Way of Johnson County.
Our Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivation by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name, without discrimination.
In these uncertain economic times, more and more individuals and families are turning to The Salvation Army for assistance. The Salvation Army is an active community resource that offers a wide variety of programs.
