On Youth Sunday, May 3, we celebrated Youth Sunday with our teens and preteens who conducted a phenomenal worship service. Special thanks to David Curtis Curtis, their Sunday School teacher, for offering them guidance as they planned the service.

Last Sunday's Easter sunrise service was once again a service dear to our hearts.

Thank you to those who organized the outdoor service, cooked our eggs over an open fire afterwards, contributed to our early morning all-church breakfast and then helped clean up. All of this was deeply appreciated.

Many of us have very fond memories of summer church camp. In 2026, those memories are still available to everyone -- to both Warrensburg Church of the Brethren church members and others in our area.

Warrensburg COB provides a $100 scholarship to members. To learn about scholarships for other campers, contact the camp's
co-manager Jerry at [email protected].

Once a month, members of our church prepare and serve a noon meal at the Journey Home Resource Center (located in Warrensburg’s First Presbyterian Church) for those in need. Meals are served every Tuesday and Thursday by various groups within our community. The Resource Center is a valuable service for those who need assistance in connecting to various resources available to them and we are honored to be part of this program.

P.S. Our Ranch Chicken over rice with a side salad is always a huge hit with those who dine with us!

We were honored with a beautiful and meaningful Palm Sunday service as we entered Holy Week.

Teresa Pearce led the service interspersing her message from clips from the movie “The Chosen” — a very powerful movie. Renee Staab and Becky Baile Crouse led our youth (age 1 to high school seniors!) in a boisterous song “Hosanna Hurray”, while waving palm leaves. After the song, palm leaves they distributed the palm leaves to members of the congregation.

Special thanks to our AV Tech Luna who painstakingly added subtitles to the movie clips.

Our sincere thanks to Doug Conley for speaking at our worship service this past Sunday. Doug is a social worker at Warrensburg Middle School and coordinator of Warrensburg Schools' Tiger Den. The Tiger Den is a free resource center with supplies needed by Warrensburg schools students.

Doug explained the many needs of students, including hygiene products, clothes, school supplies and school snacks, plus the many ways the Warrensburg R-VI School District and local organizations work to meet those needs so that students are able to be successful at school and in their daily lives.

Our congregation shared the personal hygiene products that we have collected so far during Lent to Doug, with the understanding more donations would be coming.
