Come to FPC and you’ll find countless accepting adults!!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Awareness is easy.
We can post it. Share it.
Nod our heads and agree with it.

But awareness doesn’t interrupt rejection.
Awareness doesn’t save a life.

Love does.

And sometimes…
loving people will cost you something.

I’ve felt that.

Rooms full of Christians—pastors, leaders, friends—
and when LGBTQ people come up…
I’m the one clearing my throat.

Because loving people without a disclaimer is still controversial in many circles.

But it’s not our job to sit in God’s chair.

Not to decide who’s “in.”
Not to determine who’s worthy.

Our job is to love.

Not selectively.
Not only when it’s easy.

Just… love.

Because rejection doesn’t just hurt.

It kills.

Nearly half of LGBTQ youth
seriously consider su***de.

But when just ONE adult shows acceptance, that risk drops by nearly 40%.

One person. One moment.
One genuine voice that says,
“You matter.”

So here’s the question—

If your theology is more important to defend
than a life is to protect…
who exactly are you following?

Because Jesus didn’t say,
“Love your neighbor once they meet your standards.”

He said:
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
(Matthew 22:39)

No loopholes.

The Gospel shows us over and over—
when the religious drew lines,
Jesus crossed them.

So maybe we’ve gotten so busy arguing about people… we forgot how to love them.

And if your faith requires someone else
to feel rejected
so you can feel righteous…

that’s not the Gospel.

If loving someone could help keep them alive,
and we choose not to—
we’re not protecting Christianity.
We’re abandoning Jesus.

Loving our LGBTQ friends isn't “woke.”

It’s not progressive.
It’s not Right or Left.

It’s loving your neighbor.

It’s Jesus.

And it’s Pro-Life. 🤯
