The Breastplate of Righteousness protects your heart so that pain doesn’t harden it and shame doesn’t define it. Through Christ, you have been made righteous, and you don’t have to carry what Jesus already paid for.

God doesn’t convict us to shame us—He convicts us to free us. 🙏

In the early centuries, when it was time to prepare for battle, soldiers would sharpen their swords. They would inspect every piece of their armor to make sure it was intact. They prepared before the battle so that when the battle came, they would be victorious.

This is how we must be.

The prize is given to those who endure to the end. Whether that end comes before Jesus returns or during the days ahead, one thing is certain—we are living in a time where the end has begun to unfold.

We are on the verge of economic instability. Bills are getting higher. Food costs more while giving us less. Our nation is drowning in debt. At the same time, AI is advancing, and many jobs are being lost. Revelation tells us that after this collapse will come wars that will change the world order, paving the way for the beast system.

This is where your armor comes in.

We must sharpen our sword, which is the Word of God. We can’t afford not to read it. It informs us of what to look out for and teaches us how to handle what is coming.

The Belt of Truth must be buckled around our waist. Jesus is that Truth. We must know our identity, our authority, and what He accomplished on the cross, and then walk in that victory.

The Breastplate of Righteousness has to be strapped across our chest. It keeps our hearts covered and protected. We are the righteousness of God. We have been made right with Him through Jesus Christ. The enemy will try to tell you otherwise. He will try to fill you with shame and guilt, but if you’re wearing the breastplate, those attacks won’t pe*****te your heart.

Then we must guard ourselves with the Shield of Faith. It quenches the fiery darts the enemy throws at us. No weapon formed against us will prosper when our shield of faith is raised.

Then comes the Helmet of Salvation, which is the assurance of eternal life, protection for the mind, and confident hope in Christ. It reminds us who we belong to and where our future is secured.

Lastly, our feet must be fitted with the Gospel of Peace. This means we must be ready to carry the Gospel wherever we go while also walking in the peace that surpasses all understanding—the peace of Christ and the good news that He has conquered death and the grave.

Spiritual warfare is not going to get easier. In fact, it is increasing.

For this reason, we must make sure our armor is maintained, preserved, and worn every single day. Don’t wait until the battle starts to prepare. Prepare now so you’ll be able to stand when the battle comes.

Before Paul tells us to put on the armor of God, he gives us the foundation:

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.” — Ephesians 6:10

As believers, we can often forget the most important part of spiritual warfare: our strength is not enough. We rush to put on the armor while forgetting that the armor only works when we are standing in God’s power, not our own.

Many of us end up exhausted, discouraged, and drained because we tried to fight the battle ourselves. We relied on our own wisdom, our own determination, and our own ability, only to discover how weak we truly are without God.

Paul intentionally begins the Armor of God passage by reminding us to be strong in the Lord. This isn’t about how many Scriptures you’ve memorized or how much Bible knowledge you have. It’s about knowing the God you belong to.

Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly reminded His people, “I am the LORD your God.” He wasn’t simply introducing Himself. He was reminding them whose authority, power, and protection they carried. As long as they walked with Him and trusted Him, they were under the covering of the Almighty. Yet time and again they forgot—and if we’re honest, so do we.

Too often we fight from a place of fear, striving, and defeat when Christ has already secured the victory. We aren’t trying to win the battle—we are standing in the victory Jesus has already won. Our responsibility is to remain in Him and depend on His strength.

Whatever battle you’re facing today, don’t start by trying harder. Start by remembering who your God is. His strength is what sustains you, His power is what keeps you from falling, and His victory is the ground on which you stand.

Only after this foundation is established does Paul say:

“Put on the whole armor of God…” (Ephesians 6:11)

The armor is effective because the One wearing it is standing in the strength of the Lord, not in the strength of self.

When spiritual warfare shows up in your home, don’t panic—pray.

Not every battle is fought outside your front door. Sometimes the greatest attacks come against our marriages, our children, our peace, our unity, and even our own minds. The enemy knows that if he can create division in the home, he can weaken the family.

So what do you do?

• Pray over every room in your home.
• Read the Word out loud. God’s truth changes the atmosphere.
• Worship even when you don’t feel like it.
• Refuse to let anger, unforgiveness, or fear take root (Ephesians 4:26–27).
• Put on the whole armor of God every day (Ephesians 6:10–18).
• Speak life over your family instead of repeating what you see.

Remember, the people in your home are not your enemy. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Fight the real battle with spiritual weapons.

Don’t let the enemy convince you that your home is beyond hope. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, and where He is welcomed, His presence brings light into every dark place.

Today, choose to pray instead of panic, worship instead of worry, and stand firm instead of giving up.

Today’s Walk 🚶🏾‍♀️💙

Today I didn’t feel like moving.

My body was tired, my mind was making excuses, and motivation wasn’t there. But I was reminded that not every victory is fueled by feelings. Sometimes it’s fueled by faith.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

So I got up anyway.

✅ 2.12 miles
✅ 5,382 steps

Every step was a reminder that God’s strength carries us when our own strength runs out.

Whether it’s your workout, your prayer life, or simply getting through today, don’t wait until you feel strong. Lean on the One who is.

His power is perfected in our weakness.

Keep moving. Keep trusting. Keep giving God the glory. 💙🙏🏾🏃🏾‍♀️

Be still and know that I am God. — Psalm 46:10

The world is shaking. Creation is groaning like a woman in labor, just as Scripture describes. If we’re honest, it’s hard not to become consumed by everything happening around us. At times, it can be difficult to keep our eyes fixed on the Lord.

Yet in the middle of the chaos, God gives us this simple but powerful command:

“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

No matter what we see taking place, we must remember that God already told us these things would happen. Much of what we are witnessing today was prophesied thousands of years ago. The Bible is not outdated—it is unfolding before our eyes.

That is why we can have peace. We know who is in control.

Hebrews 12 reminds us that we have received a Kingdom that cannot be shaken. Our hope is not in the kingdoms of this world but in the Kingdom of Heaven. Our citizenship is there, and our King reigns forever.

So while the world may tremble, we don’t have to.

Our focus is not on living in fear over what is happening around us. Our focus is on the souls of people and faithfully carrying out the assignments God has given each one of us. We are called to love, serve, preach the Gospel, make disciples, and remain faithful until the end.

As Hebrews 12:28 says, “Let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe.”

So today, be still. Trust the Lord. Stand firm in His promises. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and eagerly anticipate the glorious return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
