This Sunday we welcome Pastor Joan Purnell! Her sermon title is “The Gift that Saves the Day,” and the Scripture is Matthew 2:1-12. We will receive the sacrament of Holy Communion. 🍷

🎄Please plan to stay a few minutes after the worship service and help take down the Christmas decorations.

🧤We are still collecting hats, mittens, and scarves. They will be given to help keep our Backpack children warm for the winter months. We will add these items to the children’s backpacks in grades PreK-8.

🎶 Holiday Music at HUM 🎄

All December long, our church has been filled with music as every generation shared their gifts:
• December 7 – PK–2nd grade presented The First Christmas
• December 14 – 3rd–6th grade presented All About That Baby
• December 21 – 7th grade through adults present Gift of Christmas

What a joy it has been to see and hear our children, youth, and adults lead us in worship through music. If you missed any of these wonderful performances (or want to enjoy them again!), recordings are available on our YouTube channel.

🕯️ Christmas Eve Candlelight Service 🎄

Join us on Tuesday, December 24 at 7:00 PM for a meaningful Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. The evening will feature special music shared by all ages, a time of communion, and a beautiful candlelight closing as we prepare our hearts for the birth of Christ.

🎄 This Sunday – December 21 🎶

Join us for a meaningful morning of worship as we present our annual Christmas cantata, “Gift of Christmas”—a beautiful celebration of the hope and joy of the season.

We will also take time to celebrate and give thanks for the Darrin family, as this will be Pastor Matt's final Sunday worshiping with us before beginning a new chapter at another congregation. After 15 years of sharing their incredible musical gifts, faith, friendship, and hearts for ministry, they will be deeply missed. 💙

As followers of Christ, we are reminded of the words in John 15:13 —
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

We honor their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We pray for peace.
