Johnny Cake Breakfast:
The Kickemuit-Portsmouth Grange #24 will provide a Johnnycake Breakfast at the Warren Methodist Church on Saturday, May 2nd from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The menu will include orange juice, Johnnycakes, sausages, fruit salad, and coffee. The price for an adult ticket is $10. Children ages 12 and under are $5.
Johnnycakes, a hearty, traditional, colonial dish made only with ground flint corn, were said to be a favorite of the French military men Marquis de Lafayette and General Rochambeau when they passed through Warren during the Revolutionary War. This breakfast is part of the Waren 4th of July 250th committee events.

This Sunday, February 8th, we will have a food drive. Please bring your canned/nonperishable food items this Sunday, February 8th during our 10:00 a.m. worship service to be blessed. Afterwards all goods will be dropped off to local food pantries.
