Jesus did not give us a date for His return, but He did give us His promise that He will return.
In 1 Thessalonians 5, Paul reminds believers that just as Christ came into a dark world to bring light, we have been called to continue that work as children of the Light. While we wait for His coming, we are not called to idleness or complacency, but to faithful service, steadfast hope, and holy living.
When Christ returns, He expects to find His people watching, working, and walking faithfully with Him. For those who persevere, there is the promise of eternal life. For those who neglect their calling, there is a sobering warning of judgment.
Join us this Sunday as we explore the life we have been called to live in Christ, encourage one another to stay the course, and fix our eyes on the glorious prize that awaits all who remain faithful to the end.

When taking a walk, you must choose both your path and destination. When we choose to follow Christ, we walk His path, and our destination is the Kingdom of God for all of eternity. In 1 Thessalonians 4, Paul, Silas, and Timothy remind the Thessalonians to watch their walk, maintain the course, and remember the joy and hope that lies before them!

We hope you join us as we gather for worship online and in person every Sunday at 10:30 am!

Looking at the first two chapters of 1 Thessalonians, it may seem like Paul, Silas, and Timothy have written an over-the-top letter of encouragement to the Thessalonians. One might even be tempted to think they have alternative motives in their flattery. However, in this chapter, we see the genuine love and concern that these three men have for this beloved church. They have been anxiously praying for their brothers and sisters and are writing them, overwhelmed by the joy they have received in Timothy’s report. Join us this week as we see the anxious dismay of these three turned into hope and joy by the faith of the Thessalonians and the goodness of God!

In 1 Thessalonians 2, Paul, Silas, and Timothy write to remind the Church of when they received the Gospel. These three men remind the Thessalonians of how they lived while among them. They remind this church of the way they were taught and the evidence that was given for the Good News. Finally, they remind this church of their responsibility to not only be men and women of godly character, but to live as fellow ambassadors of the Good News they have received.

Paul, Silas, and Timothy brought the Gospel to the city of Thessalonica. As the Gospel took root, opposition and persecution grew. Having been forced out, Paul and his party were delighted to hear that the Church was thriving amid difficulty. In this first chapter, you can feel the pride these three men have in this Church. We must follow their example, working in faith, laboring in love, and persevering in steadfast hope in Jesus!

What does it really mean that Jesus is the Founder and Perfector of our faith? In this message from Hebrews 12:1–2, we walk through how Jesus willingly went to the cross, knowing exactly what was ahead, so He could make a way for us to have eternal life. Looking at John 14, Revelation 1, and Hebrews 9, we see that He didn’t leave us behind—He went to prepare a place, conquered death itself, and now serves as our Great High Priest. Because of that, we don’t have to fear death the way the world does. Jesus has already gone before us, and when He returns, He will bring our faith to completion!

Last week, we celebrated Jesus’ resurrection and victory over death! We looked at God’s redemptive story and His plan for our redemption, which Paul tells us was put in place before the foundations of the Earth were laid. This week, we are looking at Jesus' life, the example that He set for us in the Gospels, and the life that He has called us too!

We hope you join us as we gather for worship online and in person every Sunday at 10:30 am!
