Sylvia and all 18 of my patients thoroughly enjoyed the turkey, ham and all of the side dishes from W1N Church. Thank you all so much for putting the trays together for them!
I (Pastor Kelly) had to keep telling them they could have all they wanted and even take a plate back to their rooms because they were trying to just eat a little and save the rest. Most of us do not know what it is like to ration food or not have access to what we want. They are almost always hungry.
I’m throwing a Christmas party for my patients on Monday, December 22. If you are willing to donate a finger food, cookies, candy or bread for their party, you could bring it to me that Sunday, December 21. This will be their only Christmas, and the only holiday treats and gifts they receive this year. Brian and I and our kids will be doing a concert and serving them. Let me know if you can share some goodies with them too.
