How often do we stand staring at a closed door, replaying what could have been, wishing things had turned out differently?

Yet life has a way of moving forward, even when we're reluctant to let go. Sometimes the opportunities, blessings, and new beginnings we're praying for are already taking shape... we're just too focused on what we've lost to see them. Faith invites us to trust that not every closed door is a setback. Some are redirections. Some are protection. And some are making room for something better than we could have imagined.

Take a moment today to release what cannot be changed and open your heart to what God may be doing next. Looking for encouragement throughout the week? Sign up for our FREE weekly devotional. Explore our free worship playlists. Discover devotionals, guided moments with God, and more. Everything is linked in our bio.

Thank you for being part of the Mindful Christianity community. We're grateful to walk this journey of faith with you.

Happy Mother's Day! 🌻

Lord, we remember the mothers who have gone before us.
We remember the mothers of scripture who are part of your story.
We remember those who have not given birth to us, but are mothers to us.
We remember expectant mothers.
We remember the mothers who have lost children.
We remember the women who struggle with fertility. Lord, bless all mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, adoptive mothers, aunts, sisters, women religious and fathers who take on the role of mothers for their children. Amen.

Some of the most faithful work is done quietly… Before the world wakes up. After everyone else has gone home. In the unseen moments that keep everything moving. God sees the hidden hands. The early mornings. The long nights. The work done without applause. 🙏

“Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” — Matthew 6:4

You may feel invisible to people… but you are never invisible to God. Take a moment today to thank someone whose work often goes unnoticed. And if you’re one of the quiet servants... keep going. What you do matters more than you know. For daily encouragement, explore our devotionals and peaceful worship playlists—linked in our bio. 💛

Lord, we thank you for the work that our priests do in leading parishes, administering the sacraments and offering counsel to those in need. May their ministry bear abundant fruit, and may their hearts be filled with compassion as they serve your people.
