We often think closure means finally getting the answers we have been waiting for.
Why did they do it?
Why did it end?
Why didn't things turn out differently?
What could I have done?
Sometimes those answers come.
Sometimes they don't.
And sometimes, we spend so much energy waiting for someone else to give us an explanation that we forget we have another choice.
We can accept that we may never understand everything that happened.
We can stop asking the past to become different.
We can decide that not knowing everything doesn't mean we cannot move forward.
Maybe closure isn't always about getting the final answer.
Maybe sometimes it's about deciding that the unanswered question no longer gets to hold you there.
