Ephesians 4:16 Ministries
Connecting the Body of Christ

Purpose: Our purpose is rooted in the prayer of Jesus in John 17 “That we may be one even as Jesus and the Father are one.”
Vision Statement: In Ephesians 4 Paul states that the ministry gifts given at Christ’s ascension were for the equipping of the saints for the work of the m

inistry and that they were to function until the fulfillment of Ephesians 4:13, “till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Our vision is to see the body of Christ functioning in all that has been made available to it, so that the body can be all that it is destined to be. We desire to see the body of Christ come to maturity that the world may know that God the Father sent the Son. Goals: The goal of this ministry will be to establish vehicles by which we may encourage the body, facilitate unity, and equip God’s people for ministry. The ministry will primarily focus on three specific areas: 1) Prayer; 2) Equipping for ministry; 3) Worship. Prayer
This ministry will network with intercessors throughout our area and region so that the spiritual synergy that comes from united prayer may be utilized. Situations which arise will be prayed for by intercessors in a region rather than just one local church. There will also be times of corporate prayer where intercessors will come together at a predetermined location . There will also be encouragement for churches to come together for times of corporate prayer and ministry. Equipping for ministry This ministry will establish a School of Ministry. The school of ministry will be conducted in one of two ways; on a seminar basis in the local church or at a predetermined central location . There will also be flexibility as far as the lengths and span of classes. The instruction will include materials on the 1) The restoration of five-fold ministry; 2) The gifts of the Spirit; 3) Deliverance. Worship
This ministry will cooperate with local churches and ministries to coordinate corporate times of worship where the body of Christ comes together with no agenda other worshipping and m magnifying
magnifying God. The worship events will be held at predetermined local churches. Personal Statement: As founder of “Ephesians 4:16 Ministries”, it is my desire to be a blessing to the body of Christ. If there is any way I can be of service to you or your congregation please let me know. If you have prayer needs whether corporate or private, I would love to pray for you and encourage you. We want to be a ministry that builds and can be trusted by the leaders who may call upon us, therefore we humbly submit ourselves to the authority of each local body. We choose to focus on what we have in common rather than our differences. We covet your prayers for this ministry as we attempt to be a part of Jesus’ answered prayer in John 17. We look forward to partnering with you in building the body of Christ. Personal Biographical Information: Herb Dean has been in ministry since the early 80’s. My Father who art in heaven, we come boldly to Your throne this morning to receive mercy and find grace in our time of need. Lord, we need You so much. These are troublesome times and there are many voices shouting for us to be afraid. Many are spewing lies and the truth seems difficult to discern but we know Jesus is the truth that sets us free. We pray for Your children who have been deceived that You would give them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Yourself and for those who don’t know You that they find the Truth.

Father, we need Your deliverance from those who would destroy us. Show us where we need to stand that we might see the salvation of the Lord. Some will trust in their weapons and their strength but we choose to trust in the name of the Lord. You are our strength and shield. In You will we trust. Oh Lord, make haste to deliver us and we will give You the glory for all you have done. Thank You, for all You will do and we pray this prayer in Jesus’s name. Amen

Father, I bless You today. I thank You for the privilege of being a son of the true and living God. There is none like You. When I consider the heavens, the works of Your hands, who am I that you would consider me? Yet, You have numbered the hairs of my head. You know my rising up and my sitting down. My thoughts do not escape You. Lord, we lift up those today that are wondering if there is a God and if he exists does He even care? Lord, we pray that you might reveal Yourself to them in ways that will be unique to them. Lord, there are those who have lost hope and feel forsaken. Even today, may You intervene in their lives that they may know You have not moved, You have not forgotten, and You care for them. Lord, there is nothing too hard for You. Lord, I thank You that when I had wandered from You that You like the shepherd goes after his lost sheep, You sought me and found me. You see those who have wandered from the fold and have lost their way. Draw them unto Yourself that they might be restored. Thank You, Lord, for Your love extended to us. I love You and I pray this prayer with thanksgiving in Jesus name. Amen

Father, we want to express our love to You this morning. We love You because You first loved us. You loved us so much that You gave Your only begotten Son to die on our behalf that we might be reconciled to You. We. who believe have been given the ministry of reconciliation, introducing our Lord Jesus to a lost and dying world. Lord, we pray that Your people would hunger for Your presence more than they hunger for food and thirst for Your Spirit more than drink. You have said that blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. We desire to be filled with your Spirit that Your fruit and gifts may be manifest in us. May our lives be intentional and may they be distinctive from the world. Thank You that you are conforming us to the image of Your Son and we say even as the psalmist that we will be satisfied when we awake in Your likeness. May Your people lay aside encumbrances and the sins that so easily beset us and draw near to You. As we draw near, You said You would draw near to us. Thank you, Lord, for Your goodness to us. We bless you and we bring this petition to You knowing it is Your will and we ask these things in Jesus name. Amen

What is revival? I believe it is a God encounter, a greater revelation of His glory, and illumination of His word. In some revival accounts, it seems heaven invaded earth. Romans 3:23 All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The revelation of His glory exposes flesh. The word of God reveals the intents of the heart, exposes motives, and separates body, soul, and spirit. When the best of men who believed God encountered God up close and personal they were undone. Job, described as a perfect and upright man who hated evil, uttered these words when confronted with God, "I have heard of You with the hearing of the ear, but now I see You, I abhor myself and repent in sackcloth and ashes." Isaiah, when he had a vision in which he saw the Lord uttered these words, "Woe is me for I am undone. I am a man of unclean lips dwelling among a people of unclean lips." He was already a chosen prophet of God when this occurred. Peter, when he realized that Jesus was not a mere man, cried out, "Depart from me, Lord, for I am a wicked man." John, when encountering the post resurrection Christ fell at His feet as though dead. Do we really want revival, knowing that our flesh and motives may be exposed, and life as we know it changed? Yes, we do. Lord, we need an encounter with You.

Father, we bless You this day. Lord, there are days when it seems that just the needs that we are aware of would overwhelm us apart from the grace and peace that Your Holy Spirit gives to us. We are thankful that we can cast our cares upon You for You care for us. Lord, we pray for those this morning who don't know You or they know You, but have not learned to trust You. You are Jehovah Shalom, our peace. We pray that those struggling might come to know your peace, the peace that passes understanding, peace that the world did not give and the world can't take away. You are able to give us peace in the storm or You can speak and the storm becomes peace. Thank You that we don't walk alone for You are always with us. Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light. We praise You and it is in the matchless name of Jesus we pray, amen.

You are going through a time where little if anything seems to work out right. Everything you attempt to do comes with difficulties and complications. You have grown weary and discouraged. Your heart is to serve the Lord, but it seems that He is not in your efforts. So what is going on? First, you have an enemy who does not play fair and would kill you if he could. Sometimes we become weary and we don't show up for battle. Do not forget there is a fight going on and the enemy does not let up because you do. You must arise in the weapons of spiritual warfare and began to appropriate Christ's victory. Secondly, you have tried to do the work of the Spirit in the flesh. When we do this we become weary. It is like the student prophet who lost the axehead. He could have continued to swing the axe handle, but would have accomplished nothing other than getting tired and knocking the bark off a few trees. You must again come to that place of dependence and waiting on the Lord. They that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. In his presence you will find restored purpose and vision and the peace you have lost will be restored.

Father, I choose to praise You today. I know You are good and You have a good plan for us. Paul said he would glory in tribulation for it is working perseverance. He said he would glory in His infirmities because when he was weak, he was strong and Your power is perfected in weakness. Lord, today out of my own pain I empathize and pray for those who are dealing with serious chronic pain. It is a thief that robs people of not only quality of life, but the will to live. Lord, I ask You to bring healing in the lives of those who are crying out in pain. You are the Great Physician, You are the healer. All a doctor can do is cooperate with the processes You put in place. My expectation is not in doctors or medicine but in my benevolent creator. Lord, give hope this morning to the hopeless and give wisdom and discipline to those whose healing would come with a lifestyle correction. Father, we thank You for your grace and Your mercy and we thank You for healing. We give You honor, glory, and praise for You do all things well. I pray this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen

The essence of God's glory is His goodness. When Moses asked to see God's Glory, the Lord said that He would hide Moses in the cleft of the rock and let His goodness pass by. This indicates that His goodness is an essential part of, if not synonymous with His glory. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. It is the goodness of the Lord that leads men to repentance. I believe we can say this about revival as we see it in the scriptural sense: Revival comes as a result of the revelation of God's glory.

Does anyone else have trouble knowing what to do when you are waiting on God? Waiting gives the connotation of sitting still and it could be. There are times when we need to be still and know that He is God. The word wait in Hebrew means to be entwined. If we are entwined or wrapped up in Jesus we are not idle. Jesus was definitely entwined with the Father and He said that He only did what He saw the Father doing and spoke what He heard the Father saying. Waiting is coming to the place you are seeing and hearing the Father. When we are seeing and hearing there is clarity in doing.

A word for someone:
You have been struggling of late with fleshly desires. Have you noticed that when your intimacy level with the Lord diminishes you find yourself trying to fill that void with things that you think will make you happy? Years ago, I heard a preacher say we were created to have ecstasy with God and when we are not having ecstasy with God we will seek to find it in other things. Some people turn to s*x, po*******hy, and drugs. You would never do those things. Instead, you find yourself wrapped up in sports, food, and work. Those things in and of themselves may not be wrong, but if they are substitutes for what you are missing in God they become an idol..The pleasure they bring is fleeting, but at the right hand of the Father there are pleasures forevermore. The Lord has called you unto Himself and it is only in that relationship that you will find lasting fulfillment and purpose.
