Magnolia Park Cemeteries and Mausoleums

Magnolia Park Cemeteries and Mausoleums A Houston County landmark incorporated since 1945 with graves dating back to the Civil War. Our families deserve nothing less. Manager Catherine Dorsey.

A Houston County, Georgia landmark with gravesites dating back to the Civil War. Magnolia Park has undergone extensive renovation since the purchase of the cemetery by longtime Houston County residents and owners of McCullough Funeral Home, the McNeal family, in December 2003. The grounds have been expanded and the original cemetery property rehabilitated where needed with new roads, a new mausole

um roof on the original Chapel Mausoleum and attention to the many graves that were in a state of disrepair. We opened a new office in a totally renovated home at the back of the property in 2005, replacing the "terrible trailer" that had been home to the office for many years. The office is accessible from both within the Park and also at 120 Draper St. A new maintenance shop and all new updated equipment has been built and purchased to continue to improve and keep our Park beatiful. Our staff includes General Manager, Rob Farr and Cemetery Administrator/Asst. Park Maintenance includes Benny Frank Durham, Samuel Sebastian and Martin Villegas. We are a private, family owned, full service, perpetual care cemetery. We offer ground burials, public and private mausoleum entombments and many choices for cremation inurnment or memorialization. We can provide both beatiful flat bronze or granite memorials, as well as elegant upright traditional granite or marble monuments. Photo portraits are available for either type of marker and customization is limited only to your imagination. Perpetual care means that the care and maintenance of the grounds and your burial sites are our responsibility at all times. A trust is set up with the state to ensure the sustainability and beauty of the park forever.

As always, it was a privilege to join with our Magnolia Park families for the annual Luminary Service. This year’s event was beautiful as families and friends came together to honor lost loved ones, find comfort, and embrace the spirit of the season together.

We want to thank everyone who attended and those who helped make this event memorable. A special thanks to our friends at Happy Hour Service Center who have partnered with us on set up for many years, as well as Woodlands Coffee Roasters & Cafe , and Battery Source for your generous contributions.

We will see you all next year; take care of one another until then.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered and joined us for this year's Luminary Event at Magnolia Park! It was a special evening of unity, reflection, and remembering under the starry sky.

🕯️ Together, we remembered the legacy of those who are no longer with us and embraced the spirit of the season, focusing on the Savior who brings light and love into our lives. It was truly an honor to serve the Magnolia Park Family.

🎄 Wishing each and every one of you a Merry Christmas filled with warmth and joy! Special thanks go out to:

🤝 Happy Hour Service Center for lending us extra helping hands,
🎶 Toni Henson Slade for the beautiful songs,
☕ Woodlands Coffee Roasters & Cafe for the delicious coffee and hot chocolate that warmed our hearts,
🚗 Battery Source for providing Golf Cart Shuttles, ensuring everyone could join in the festivities,
🎤 Chad Wood for delivering a meaningful message.

We are also thrilled to share the moving poem that Chad wrote and shared with us during the event, titled "O CHRISTmas Tree."

🎄 O CHRISTmas Tree 🎄

So there you are, O Christmas Tree,
Standing so high on Calvary.
Truly, you hold just one ornament,
The price of a man whom God has sent.

And there you stand, upright and bold,
You are the foundation of the best story told.
So well put together and your wood is strong,
To be as your ornament, my soul shall long.

You are stained with blood from when he was nailed,
He there took my place although I failed.
What was it like as he was displayed?
He suffered on you as he was betrayed.

The presence of glory scorned by your touch,
The things he went through, and loves us so much.
The glory, the grace, the Almighty power,
He walked in my shoes, my life that was sour.

And you were the key to which he changed the earth,
To trust and obey with a second birth.
Though it should have been me that hung on a cross,
But now in his presence, my life not a loss.

So there you are, O Christmas Tree,
Holding the man who died for me.
