Second School of Music The Second School of Music offers music instruction on piano, voice, guitar, bass, drums & percussion, strings, woodwinds, & brass at all performance levels.

Our mission is to teach and develop learners to play music for the glory of God. Formally known as The School of the Arts, our School of Music at Second Baptist Church offers music instruction for learners at all performance levels. Students can study piano, guitar, bass, drums and percussion, strings, woodwinds, brass, and voice. As active members of the National Federation of Music Clubs, we emp

loy Middle Georgia’s top Christian musicians to teach our classes in one-on-one and group lessons. Unique to Second School of Music, we offer a blend of classical and modern music training. For example, you will find our students practicing Bach preludes, Schubert arias, Coltrane bebop licks, drum corps literature, and modern pop music. Our School of Music is directly connected to our Choir, Orchestra, Praise Band, and Victory Sports Band at Second Baptist Church. Hello Music Families!

Second Baptist School of the Arts is now Second School of Music! With the start of the Fall 2025 Semester, we are updating several aspects of our music outreach to the community, and rebranded the name to match our services.

Registration for Fall Semester is now open at www.secondfamily.church/schoolofmusic Scroll to the bottom for FALL REGISTRATION. Schedule Confirmation emails will be sent by the last week of July. Tuition payments are due at the first lesson (at our Reception Desk or online), but can be paid at any time (online at the link, full, half or quarter payments).

Lessons begin the week of August 4, 2025, offering 14 lessons over 18 weeks (until December 4, 2025). Families have 4 buffer weeks to manage absences, so students who need to miss a lesson should notify their teacher within 24 hours of lesson time, and return the following week at their regular lesson day & time with the fourteen (14) lesson package in mind. The full policy can be reviewed on the Student Policy sheet & 2025-2026 Calendar.
