Hi St. Andrew’s UMC Community….

What are you grateful for today? I saw a post this morning that stated, you can always be grateful each day. When I read it, I said, yes! What are you grateful for today? For me, I am grateful for the amazing, astonishing and awesome staff at St. Andrew’s UMC who works collaboratively with volunteers to make this church a church in so many ways! I am grateful for how each staff member uses their own skills and talents to make this place better each day - a church that spreads God’s love into world!

𝐙𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞
It has finally happened. One of the units that is about 25 years old has now stopped working. It has served the church well and we give thanks for how long it lasted. Currently the trustees are working on a plan to replace it, knowing that God provides in amazing ways. Now that Zion Hall only has one air conditioning unit working, the thermostats are set; please do not touch them. If you have a question, ask Pastor Dave.

Our fall programming events and worship series are being worked on and finalized. More to come this week as to all the outreach opportunities we offer! God is Good and we give thanks for every member of our community who shares God’s love! All of our activities and events begin September 20th!

Hi St. Andrew’s UMC Community….

This weekend is Labor Day weekend with the holiday on Monday. You can read about the holiday at https://www.britannica.com/topic/Labor-Day. It is day we celebrate the hard work of individuals in every field. We give thanks for each of you and the hard work you have done and are doing to make this world a better place. Keep working hard for God in all things!

Hi St Andrew’s UMC Community,

September is here. School has started. The weather is all over the place which means allergies are overwhelming. In all of that, it is easy to lose our focus on Jesus. Today we consider how we focus too much on our to-do lists and not Jesus.

𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬
𝑀𝑎𝑟𝑘 1:16-20

What is something for you that right now needs your immediate focus? An illness, a loss, a financial issue, a work task, a family challenge, etc.? What needs your immediate focus? One night, very recently, a queen bee/wasp or a very large flying insect that was not gentle somehow got in my house. As I was working on my computer, it showed up and nothing was more immediate than dealing with it. What is happening in your life right now that needs your immediate focus?

The Gospel of Mark is a fast-paced book with words that keep the action moving. The word "immediately" is used to illustrate the immediacy of knowing and connecting with Jesus. The word is not connected to immediately doing something the world needs. It is focused on immediately focusing on Jesus. And that is it!

Is your focus on Jesus the same as your focus on what you feel is immediate? Are immediate needs worldly needs? What would your life be like if your immediate focus was on Jesus and you dropped everything to be with and focus on Jesus? It seems impossible, and yet Jesus is always inviting us to be in immediate focus of Him.

Hi St. Andrew’s UMC Community….

So, it is Tuesday. And I am now finally getting to the email! There are many moving parts in our church and I give thanks for each of you and your faithfulness, your helping attitude and your willingness to be in ministry together. We are entering into the fall season of our church with lots of activities and family events. May all who enter, experience God in amazing ways!
