This evening is Baccalaureate at SFHS. For some, this will just be another graduation tradition. But in reality, our ultimate graduation is at stake. Ten years ago, my son Aaron was the speaker. Please take time to read bout it below. It might be the most important thing you ever read. Please reach out to me if you have questions. Sincerely, Pastor Dan
PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ:
Last Thursday, Aaron was the speaker at our high school Baccalaureate service. Among the things he spoke about was the mystery that some of us live long, healthy lives and others' lives are cut short. That very evening, the mother of one of our seniors and a paraprofessional at our elementary school died in her sleep. Nancy had a strong faith in Jesus and we are confident that she is with Him in heaven. The unexpected happened, but she was ready for eternity. Are you?
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) If the unexpected happened to you this evening, would you be ready? Do you trust Him as your Savior?
These days a lot of people talk about various preferences and who should be married or use which bathroom. Many claim that you can't be a Christian if you believe one way or the other. But at the end of your life, no one will ask who you voted for or where you stood on controversial issues. You will hear one of two things: "Today, you are with Me in paradise," or "Depart from Me, I never knew you."
Please pray, ask Him to be your Savior and accept Him right now. If you have questions, PM me or call. You can be as sure of heaven as if you were there!
