2025 WYP/JCC Worship Service Schedule



September-December 2025—WYP worship services will be held at the Wardsboro Methodist Church on Main St. All worship services will begin at 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise publicized.



October 19, 2025—Combined WYP/JCC worship service at the Wardsboro Methodist Church-- 10:00 a.m. service



October 19, 2025--The WYP Annual Meeting @ the Wardsboro Methodist Church will be held at approximately 11:00 a.m., after the worship service.



October 26, 2025—The Blessing of the Animals Service

9:00 a.m. worship service @ the Wardsboro Methodist Church

11:00 a.m. worship service @ the Jamaica Community Church



December 24, 2025—Christmas Eve Services @ Wardsboro Methodist Church and Jamaica Community Church—Times to be announced







2026 Wardsboro Yoked Parish/Jamaica Community Church worship schedule



January--March – All Wardsboro worship services will be held at the Jamaica Community Church, 7 Depot St., Jamaica, VT. All services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Communion will be celebrated on the first Sunday of each month, along with a coffee ½ hour after the worship service.



April—December 2026 --All Jamaica Community Church worship services will begin at 11:00 a.m., unless otherwise publicized.



April 2026-- Wardsboro Yoked Parish worship services will be held at the West Wardsboro Baptist Church.

All worship services will begin at 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise publicized.



May- July 2026—Wardsboro Yoked Parish worship services will be held at the Wardsboro Methodist Church.

All worship services will begin at 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise publicized.



August 2026—Wardsboro Yoked Parish worship services will be held at the South Wardsboro Congregational Church. All worship services will begin at 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise publicized.



September—December 2026—Wardsboro Yoked Parish worship services will be held at the Wardsboro Methodist Church. All worship services will begin at 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise publicized.

***Wardsboro Yoked Parish 2025 Worship service schedule update*** 🙏

●Beginning Sunday, May 4, the WYP worship services will be held at the Wardsboro Methodist Church, 122 Main Street, and continue there through July 27. All services will begin at 9am, unless otherwise advertised.

●Worship services will be held at the South Wardsboro Congregational Church, 64 Cobb Reed Rd., S. Wardsboro, beginning August 3 and continue there through August 31.

●The Annual WYP/JCC picnic will be held at the South Wardsboro Congregational Church on Sunday, August 24 at 10am, This will be a combined worship service with the Jamaica Community Church. All other August dates will begin at 9 am.

●Beginning Sunday, September 7, worship services will be held at the Wardsboro Methodist Church, 122 Main Street, and continue there through December 28. All services will begin at 9am, unless otherwise advertised

Thrift Store returning this spring! 🎉

The West Wardsboro Thrift Store, located on the first floor of the West Wardsboro Baptist Church on Cross Road in West Wardsboro, VT, is scheduled to open for business on Friday, May 23, 2025.
Business hours are as follows:
Friday and Saturday— 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Sunday— 11:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m.
Donations are only accepted during business hours.

2025 WYP Worship service schedule ✝️

Beginning April 6th, and continuing until June 29, 2025, all WYP worship services will be held at the West Wardsboro Baptist Church on Cross Road in West Wardsboro, VT. Services begin at 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise advertised. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month, and a coffee half-hour will be held on the last Sunday of the month.

A Maundy Thursday Service will be held at the Jamaica Community Church at 7 Depot Street, Jamaica, VT, on Thursday, April 17th, at 7:00 p.m. The Wardsboro Yoked Parish and the Jamaica Community Church will join together for this service.

An Easter Sunrise Service will be held at the West Wardsboro Baptist Church at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

An Easter worship service will be held at the West Wardsboro Baptist Church at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Beginning July 6, 2025, and continuing to August 31st, all WYP worship services will be held at the South Wardsboro Congregational Church on Cobb Reed Road in South Wardsboro, VT. Services begin at 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise advertised. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month, and a coffee half-hour will be held on the last Sunday of the month.

The WYP/JCC Annual picnic will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2025, after the 10:00 service. Wardsboro and Jamaica churches will combine for this service and picnic.

Beginning September 7, 2025, and continuing to December 28th, all WYP worship services will be held at the Wardsboro Methodist Church on Main Street in Wardsboro, VT. Services begin at 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise advertised. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the month, and a coffee half-hour will be held on the last Sunday of the month.

A Christmas Eve service will be held on Wednesday, December 24th, at 5:30 p.m., at the Wardsboro Methodist Church.

✨Committee Member Spotlight✨

My name is Peter Carlson. I moved from Connecticut to Vermont in 1976, and settled in West Townshend. I was assistant chef at the Newfane Inn for five years, then moved to a position as a line cook and eventually chef at the Old Tavern in Grafton, VT. In 1985 I traded in my pots and pans for a 33-year career at UPS. I have been the pastor at the Wardsboro Yoked Parish since 2000, and at the Jamaica Community Church since 2020. My wife, Roxane, and I were married in 1982 in Grafton, VT, and we have been blessed with 3 children and 6 grandchildren (and lots of pets!). I have emceed the Wardsboro 4th of July Street Fair and Parade for the past 18 years, as well as hosting the Wardsboro Variety Show. I enjoy listening to and playing music, reading, being outdoors, and most of all, spending time with my family.
