Summer is coming to Ward in it's usual fit and start way. Just a reminder that The Historic Ward Church is available for gatherings of all sorts.

Big thanks to Ashley Edwards and all the great musicians who performed and everyone who helped create the Ward Church Benefit last night. They raised $750.00 for the building fund, which will go toward the roof and bell tower renovation project.

The church is organized, cleaned, and ready for use! Thank you to Christina Zahn, Oliver Zahn, Mira Hatland, and so many others!
We'll continue our fund raising efforts throughout the summer to finish the exterior restoration. Thanks to everyone for your donations so far! Much has been accomplished!

Our rummage sale is getting more popular each week, so we decided to extend it until December 4. So...come on by on Saturdays from 10:00 to 1:00 form some unique items from Wards' colorful past! No prices, just requested donation for the building fund.

Our 30 year sale is this Saturday, November 6, from 10-1 or later if a lot of people show up here!!! Lots of cool and useful items, including some high end comforters and pillows, an oak desk (pictures will be available at the sale - let's move a heavy object ONCE) and 30 years worth of treasures stored at the church. Also a couple of older Mac computers. A few of the items are pictured.

We're raising money for our restoration project - the next stage is to replace the roof and repair the bell tower. We've already done significant structural repairs, thanks to a grant from a Historic Colorado grant - removing a rock slide and shoring up the hill, supporting the foundation in one corner and pulling the side walls together to reduce the bow. And this past summer, we had the front of the building sanded and painted and fixed and sanded the windows on the North side that takes the brunt of the weather. Please come by and donate and take some history (and stuff) home.

Located on Modoc Street, in the Town of Ward, up the hill from Jackleggers - look for the brightly shining white building with the light yellow trim (NOT the gray trimmed building on another hill).

Halloween decorations and costumes sale at the Historic Ward Church, right now!

The Historic Ward Church is having a Halloween Costume and Decoration sale, Saturday, October 23, from 10AM to 1PM. If you're looking for the makings of awesome costumes or to decorate your yard, come by and check it out.

This is to raise money to restore the bell tower and put on a new roof. If you'd like to contribute to the church's restoration fund, you can go to https://unioncongregationalchurchofward.org and use paypal to make a donation, or make a donation at the Halloween sale. Let's get the building ready for 3 more generations of Wardos.

Also there's a general garage sale on November 6th, including Christmas decorations, from 10AM-1PM.
