It has taken a few days to compose the following. It isn't because we fail to recognize the turning of the page, but because Pastor Craig Spear has been a part of this family for 11 years. It is quite hard to summarize 11 years of service and friendship.

But we shall try.

This past Sunday, we said goodbye to a pastor who has been part of our church family for 11 years.

Goodbyes are never easy, especially when someone has walked beside you through so many seasons of life. Through celebrations and sorrows, moments of certainty and moments of struggle, Pastor Craig was there -- not just in the pulpit on Sunday mornings, but sometimes in ways that can go unseen.

There were prayers offered when they were needed most, words of encouragement at just the right moment, hands shaken, and hearts comforted. We cannot forget the laughter. Those things matter. They always do.

Small churches become family, and family leaves fingerprints on one another's lives. Pastor Craig has certainly left fingerprints on ours.

As this chapter comes to a close and a new one begins, we offer our sincere thanks for the years of service, care, faithfulness, and dedication given to this congregation. We are grateful for the time we shared and for the memories we will always carry with us.

May God's blessings go with you wherever the road leads next.

You will be missed.

The weather forecasters are calling for rain tomorrow!

“Oh no, but what about your yard and bake sale, Wantage United Methodist Church?!”

Never fear, all potential buyers! Our sale is INDOORS! So, there is no excuse to not attend.

We hope to see you tomorrow between 9am and 3pm.

We are in the list! Don’t forget to stop by on Saturday to visit not just the indoor yard sale but our bake sale too! I almost forgot — we will be selling chili, hot dogs, drinks and chips outside by our grill!

We would like to thank those who chose to spend time with us tonight for the free prayer dinner. Thank you!

We began the evening with a short prayer followed by a small sermon and a hymn sing. After our spiritual souls were fed, our bodies enjoyed a meal of spaghetti and meatballs. By the way, the fellowship during the meal was amazing!

We hope you will be able to join us again on Thursday, May 21st at 5:00 pm.
