St. Luke's Episcopal Church - Wamego

St. Luke's Episcopal Church - Wamego St. Luke's Episcopal Church sits in downtown Wamego, KS, serving & our community since 1868. The first worship services were held in Wamego in 1868.

On May 22,1870, St. Luke’s Mission was organized. The church building was consecrated in 1900, the bell tower was consecrated in 1921 and the Guild Hall in 1925. Since those early days St. Luke’s has worshiped and served in the community of Wamego. We are currently undergoing a search for a part time priest as Father Cobb has moved to Minnesota.

Friends, what might you have new or gently used to help make Christmas brighter for folks in our community?

Friends, what might you have new or gently used to help make Christmas brighter for folks in our community?

The Wamego Middle School Student Council is excited to host its annual Santa Workshop, a special event that allows students to shop for gifts for their family members during the holiday season. This wonderful tradition helps students experience the joy of giving by selecting meaningful presents for parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends.

To make this event a success, the school is seeking donations of new or gently used items such as:
Small toys, puzzles, or books
Jewelry, accessories, or home décor
Kitchen gadgets or candles
Sports equipment or outdoor items
Craft or DIY kits
Donations of gift wrap, bags, tags, and boxes are also appreciated to help students wrap their gifts.

Donations may be dropped off at the Wamego Middle School Office by Friday, December 5th.

Your generosity helps ensure that every student can take part in this joyful holiday tradition. Thank you for supporting Wamego Middle School and helping make the season bright for our students and their families!

For more information, please contact Miss Morgan Reinhart, WMS Student Council Advisor, at [email protected] or 785.456.7682 Ext. 4061.

How about a new way to follow Jesus through Holy Week? Beginning on Palm Sunday and continuing until Easter Morning, you can receive short, powerful "Breaking News" reflections to stay centered in the story of the cross and resurrection. It's easy to sign up. The only thing you need to do is to text JESUS to (833) 510-5006. You will then receive a confirmation text that asks you for your time zone and your name. This ministry is a project of Virginia Theological Seminary.

I hope you will join me in this holy week experience. I look forward to hearing what you think! Casey+
