Venerable Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche is urgently requesting the International PBC Sangha to accumulate the Dusum Sangye Prayer of Guru Rinpoche and the mantra of Buddha Amitayus to remove everyone's obstacles, actualize more peace and harmony in the world, fulfill our highest bodhichitta aspirations, and swiftly bring all beings to enlightenment.

Learn more and add your accumulations here:
www.padmasambhava.org/post/2026-pbc-mantra-accumulation-of-the-dusum-sangye-prayer-and-buddha-amitayus

All the great masters of Tibetan Buddhism have said that Guru Padmasambhava is the Buddha of the Degenerate Age. During this present time, he is the sole protector and refuge for all sentient beings. When we connect to Guru Rinpoche, we’re connecting to all enlightened beings throughout space and time.

The Dusum Sangye Prayer unites devotion, bodhichitta, and Dzogchen meditation in the form of a Guru Yoga practice on Guru Padmasambhava. Absolute Guru Padmasambhava is the innate nature of all sentient beings.

Buddha Amitayus is a buddha of longevity and vitality. Amitayus embodies the wisdom and compassion of all the buddhas and is inseparable from Buddha Amitabha and Guru Padmasambhava.

"Grasping can be divided in two types: grasping oneself and grasping objects. Grasping oneself is when we hold on to our own sense of self, which is also referred to as ego-clinging. Grasping objects is when we hold on to any objects or belongings related to the self. Grasping objects is more general, while grasping oneself is more specific or personal. Whether we cling to ourself or to others—to the subject or the object—it’s still grasping. Grasping is grasping. According to Buddhist philosophy, grasping is what we have to release and remove.

The moment you remove grasping at self and others, you experience the dawn of joy, happiness, and peace—you’re no longer struggling all the time. Whoever has a level of realization that is free from grasping doesn’t see samsara as a land of misery and suffering. When you realize the selfless state of both ego and object, you understand that samsara is a playground where we can learn and grow, and eventually samsara will transform into nirvana. The nature of samsara and nirvana is the same. With this realization, working with duality and grasping becomes an incredible opportunity to grow.
..These two types of continual grasping go against the true nature, which is perfect equanimity. The nature is calm and very flexible; it is openness, freedom, and great emptiness, and grasping goes totally against this. Grasping is unrealistic because it’s the opposite of what’s really happening. Even if we want to think that grasping is great, the moment we grasp and cling to something, we’re moving against the flow of the true nature. Therefore, as much as we grasp and cling to self and others is how much we suffer, because we’re pushing against the true nature. So it’s really necessary and important to try to release our grasping tendency—this is the purpose of all the teachings of the Buddha and Guru Padmasambhava."

The Heart Sutra is one of the most important and widely recited texts in Mahayana Buddhism. Its title means "The Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom," where "prajna" means wisdom and "paramita" means perfected or transcendent. Connected to the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig in Tibetan), the text offers a direct path to liberation from suffering, and is best known for the phrase "Form is emptiness, emptiness is form."

After the webcast concludes, for the Sangha gathered in person at Pema Ling in Jupiter (not webcast), Florida, Ven. Khenpo Rinpoche will offer transmissions, bestow lay Vajrayana Ngakpa vows for qualified students, consecrate a life-sized, hand-carved Chenrezig statue by the Pema Ling pond, and enjoy a Pot Luck with Sangha!

Happy Chotrul Duchen!

During the first 2 weeks of the Tibetan New Year (Feb 18-March 3, 2026), it is celebrated that the Buddha displayed a miracle each day to increase the merit and devotion of us his future disciples. During this time, the benefit of one’s actions is multiplied by 100,000 fold.

The Miracle Month culminates on Chotrul Duchen: the Day of Miracles. On this full moon day, the effect of one’s actions is multiplied 10 million times. This is truly a most auspicious day for practice.
