Twelve members of our church, along with fifteen others from Antioch Beverly and Antioch Quincy, are headed to the Dominican Republic in mid-April to serve alongside Iglesia Comunidad Multicultural (Multicultural Community Church). The team is going with open hands, ready to learn from this community and serve at the church and their Jubilee Community Center. We would love for you to partner with us in sending out this team through prayer and/or giving. If you would like to give towards the team’s fundraising efforts, you can give a tax-deductible donation through this link: tinyurl.com/anedrmissiontrip.

As God's children, we are called to cry out to our Father in times of turmoil and uncertainty. The recent killings of a number of Black people in the United States have brought about much grief and anger, and they have incited passionate cries throughout the world against racial injustice. Justice is central to God's nature, and he desires for his people to seek justice and defend the oppressed. We believe that God is calling us to intercede for those affected by the sin of racism through fasting and prayer. Tonight from 8-9pm, we will gather for a sacred assembly and break our fast on Zoom. Zoom ID is 949 6108 7896
See you there!

God is calling his children to Costly Unity and Divine Justice.
True unity is costly. It requires more than having a diverse congregation. Costly Unity involves (1) The church being a safe place for People of Color to express wounds from racism and discrimination, (2) Not shying away from difficult conversations regarding race for fear of misspeaking or offending (3) Advocating for brothers and sisters in Christ who are harmed by racism, both interpersonal and systemic (credit to Bonhoeffer’s concept of Costly Grace ).

One way for God’s children to pursue Divine Justice is to (1) Recognize how discrimination has negatively shaped many communities of color, (2) Form genuine unity across racial and socioeconomic barriers, (3) Advocate for brothers and sisters who have been adversely affected by discriminatory policies and under-resourced communities.

Costly Unity and Divine Justice are miraculous, Holy-Spirit-infused endeavors that reflect the nature of the kingdom of God, drawing people toward a relationship with Jesus.
