What if the “tongues of fire” at Pentecost weren’t just spiritual symbols… but political ones too?

In the Roman world, divided tongues were sometimes used as symbols of imperial power. So when Acts describes flames resting on ordinary people, it may be making a bold claim:

God’s Spirit doesn’t belong to emperors.
It belongs to everyone.

Pentecost is about courage, connection, and a Spirit that crosses every boundary of language, class, and nation. 🔥🕊️

Big thanks to “The Defenders” — our new volunteer safety and security team! 🛡️
They’re helping create a welcoming, prepared, and protected space for our congregation and community events.

Because caring for one another is holy work, too. ❤️

A peaceful close to another season of EvenSong ✨

On the second Sunday of each month from September through May, we gather for contemplative worship — a quiet space for prayer, music, reflection, and rest in God’s presence. This reel captures moments from our final EvenSong service of the season.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this year. We look forward to beginning again in September.

Until then, may you find moments of stillness, beauty, and peace throughout the summer. 🌙

Unity doesn’t mean sameness. 🌈

Real community makes room for different voices, stories, questions, and perspectives — without demanding that everyone fit the same mold. The beauty of belonging is found not in uniformity, but in love that holds us together through our differences.

What if embracing difference is actually part of what makes us whole?

❤️ What does it mean to raise children in faith and community?

In this special dialogue sermon, Pastor Jaz and Pastor Anna reflect together on the gift of children in the church and the power of a loving spiritual community to help shape and nurture faith.

Because no one grows alone — we belong to one another. ✨
