A little bit of a late post, but recently we have had a lot to celebrate at CBC!

First, we baptized Ed Rodriguez as a new believer. He and his wife, Bridget, have recently moved to our area and have sought to join us as we follow Christ together. We are so grateful for how Christ is moving.

We also had the privilege to honor Mr. Douglas Jackson for his 50 (!) years of faithful service as our church treasurer. He has served our church as treasurer and deacon for many years.

If you have lived in Chalybeate very long, you are probably very familiar with Mr. Jackson! He has demonstrated faithful service and hard work as principal, teacher, mentor, and many other roles. We are grateful for you!

What do we turn for when we are tempted? And how do we keep going when we are surrounded by evil? These questions are addressed by the Lord's Prayer: "Deliver us from evil."

Join us as we gather again this Sunday to hear the Word preached and to respond in faith and obedience.

One of the most beautiful gospel truths is that God forgives our debts. That's what makes the Lord's Prayer a gospel prayer. This Sunday, we will see what it means to pray the gospel in our hearts.
