St Lorenzo Ruiz Catholic Church ENCOUNTER, CELEBRATE, RECIEVE CHRIST Real Presence Holy Communion L-O-V-E
Pastor: Fr. Francis Mendoza We celebrate a "Holy Year of Renewal and Evangelization."
(317)

And this is OUR CREED:

We are “Stewards of our Community of Faith” coming from multi-ethnic traditions. As Christian stewards, we receive God’s gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice, and return them with increase to the Lord. (U.S. Bishops’ Statement on Stewardship)
We, in this endeavor and in our journey as Christ’s body, carry the precept:

“BRING THE FAITH HOME”

EACH ONE TEACH ONE, a form of evangelization which leads us to SMALL FAITH COMMUNITIES, becoming priests, prophets and kings. As a way of life… our creed is a celebration, and not an obligation. Through our Pastoral Zones, we are energized, revitalized and revived by our existing intentional communities and parish ministries...and so we move FORWARD...

We Celebrate Our Faith

Dear Saint Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Family,

Peace and blessings in Christ!

As one parish family united in faith, we ask everyone to join together in prayer for our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, during this important time of healing and recovery.

On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Pope Leo XIV underwent surgery at Gemelli Hospital in Rome to remove a nodule from his lung. We are grateful to God that, according to the Vatican, the surgery was successful and the Holy Father has returned to his hospital room to begin his recovery.

During this time, let us surround our beloved Holy Father with our prayers, love, and spiritual support, asking our Lord Jesus Christ, the Divine Physician, to grant him complete healing, renewed strength, comfort, and peace.

We invite our Saint Lorenzo Ruiz parish family to unite in the following spiritual offerings:

Holy Rosary

Offer a Rosary for Pope Leo XIV’s healing and recovery, asking for the loving intercession of our Blessed Mother.

Eucharistic Adoration:

Spend time before the Blessed Sacrament, even if only for 15–30 minutes, entrusting our Holy Father to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Holy Mass: Offer your Mass intentions and Holy Communion for the Pope’s health, strength, and continued leadership of our Church.
Personal Prayers and Sacrifices: Offer daily prayers, small sacrifices, and acts of charity for his recovery and for the medical professionals caring for him.

Bless the doctors, nurses, and all who care for him. Guide them with wisdom, compassion, and skill.

Through the loving intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, Saint Joseph, and our patron Saint Lorenzo Ruiz, may our Holy Father be strengthened in body and spirit.

Unite us as one Church in faith, hope, and charity as we continue to pray for our shepherd.

Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters, this is a beautiful opportunity for us to demonstrate the power of a praying parish community. Whether at home, at Mass, or in quiet Adoration before our Lord, every prayer is a precious offering of love.

Let us come together as one Saint Lorenzo Ruiz family, lifting our Holy Father in prayer and entrusting his healing to God’s divine mercy.

Saint Lorenzo Ruiz, pray for us!
Our Lady, Mother of the Church, pray for Pope Leo XIV
