God Honors Our Service of Him:

Last night, as I walked and looked over the area around the Cross checking the lighting, God blessed me. I had a divine appointment. Six beautiful sisters in Christ were visiting the Teardrop Cross for the first time because they found out they could drive up close and come walk around it. As I was leaving, they were coming out to the Cross and we struck up a conversation that lasted about an hour.

One of the ladies is getting married September 13th of this year and today they were having their version of a Christian girls day out to celebrate.

God arranged it for me to be a blessing to them, and they were a blessing to me. My wife, Joy, and I are celebrating our 24th Wedding Anniversary on July 13th. At the end of our hour visit, six sisters in Christ asked to pray for Joy & I and also asked for me to pray over them.

It was a very special gift to be able to pray for six young women who reminded me of Mary, the friend of Jesus who anointed him with precious expensive oil of great price and chose the most important work of sitting at Jesus feet to partake of spiritual food over serving natural food in hospitality.

It was as great a gift to have God send six Righteous daughters to pray over Joy and my marriage.

Thank you Sisters. And thank you Father in Heaven for your Son.

Romans 8:31-35, 38-39 NLT
"What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself.

Who then will condemn us?

No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Walking with our Father

As I was looking through photos in prayer ahead of Father's Day these three got my attention. The 1st two are of the same cross and I liked how they reminded me of my dad and I. Side by side, they speak of a loving father guiding a son to carry on the next stage of life's relay, knowing it's going to be even brighter in the future.

The third picture was the day before Flag Day in Washington D.C. A Rainbow of God's Love arched over our people and our nation like a Father walking with his arm around his Son.

Lord, empower us from on high that we each glorify you and benefit mankind.

Ephesians 6:1-4 NLT
"Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord."

Prayer in Preparation for Flag Day:

We want to thank our Governor, Mike Kehoe, his team and our state and local governments for their diligence and hearts to keep us safe, protect our families, remove waste and fraud and speed our economic recovery.

We also want to thank President Trump and our national government for the same in keeping our country safe and protected during this time.

Lord, thank you for placing men and women who were not novices in anointed positions of authority to lead us in these times and make the challenging, difficult & critical choices we needed.

We know you chasten or correct those you Love. Thank you that you have and continue to correct our nation, that we humble ourselves and receive the correction so we change to better reflect your Love to a fallen world system.

Thank you that you Love us too much to leave us and the other nations of the world without correction for the blessing and benefit of all you have created in your image and likeness.

We receive you with thanksgiving and praise, in Jesus name and the power of Christ, Amen!

Psalm 91:1-2, 14-16 AMPC
"HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!

Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness–trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never]. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation."

As we prepare to celebrate Flag Day:

One of the greatests gifts God gave me was when he asked me to learn how He sees Honour. He asked me to speak with Veterans about that word and how it connects us.

Honour is relational. It always exists outside an individual, requiring at least two but often growing to include more. That relationship grows to include a sense of Respect and eventually also a Loyalty.

This forms a group that in the world we have come to call a community.

Interestingly, the Christ centered Word of "Communion" looks and sounds a lot like "Come Into Union".

These relational concepts can also be carried by their connection symbolically to an object that comes to represent them like a Flag ... or even a Cross.

The Flag can rally a community, reminding those who see it of the Good and Sacrifice for the community by its members that have gone before and serve today. In times of darkness, the Flag represents the Light of Hope that can be again.

A Hope worth fighting for.

When we see the U.S. Flag fly, it reminds us we are Americans. Imperfect, with mistakes included but humble enough to admit our faults before God and seek to do better the next time.

When we see the Cross, it reminds us of our Savior and his sacrifice for all of us. Our King who set the standard of faith, hope and love we follow.

The Cross reminds us that we are not unwanted or orphans. We were purchased with the highest price ever paid by anyone for anything - the Blood of Christ.

We are reminded that we are Sons and Daughters of God.

1 Corinthians 13:11‭-‬13 AMPC

"When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; now that I have become a man, I am done with childish ways and have put them aside.

For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection [of reality as in a riddle or enigma], but then [when perfection comes] we shall see in reality and face to face! Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been fully and clearly known and understood [by God].

And so faith, hope, love abide
[faith – conviction and belief respecting man's relation to God and divine things;
hope – joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation;
love – true affection for God and man, growing out of God's love for and in us],
these three; but the greatest of these is love."

We aren't peacekeepers - We are Peace Makers!

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9 KJV

Peace unlike the world has is a gift from God. The practice of that peace in our hearts brings an atmosphere in and around us that cannot be denied. It transforms us - and those around us.

Let the Prince of Peace sit down in your life and put all your troubles under His feet. You and those around you won't regret or forget it.

The Word is the True Mirror that Allows Us to Choose Life and it More Abundantly.

James 1:19-25 NLT
"Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.

For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.

But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it."

The Most Important Thing we can do in Godly Love.

Yesterday, I had the privilege to go with other Christ Followers and Lay Hands in a Communion of Prayer and Praise upon the Honourable Governor and First Lady of Missouri, Mike & Claudia Kehoe.

During the course of our visit with both of them, they took the time to share, very transparently, a small part of the weighty concerns affecting all Missourians that are on their hearts. At issue particularly was their heart concerning the upcoming Issue 3.

A Yes vote on Issue 3 would not only reduce or eliminate abortion of unborn children, but also prevent the sexual mutilation of children caused by the transgender confusion of spiritually unanchored people who are trying to medicate their pain in a way that will only bring more bo***ge and pain.

Afterward, our Prayer Team also had the opportunity for a similar visit with the Attorney General of Missouri, the Honorable Catherine Hanaway and Deputy Chief of Staff James Lawson. They also shared the weight of their focus on protecting the people of the State of Missouri.

During this 2nd meeting, I was informed that this past weekend, the Chief of Staff for the Missouri Secretary of State took their own life.

The weight of important and even critical decisions and intercession on behalf of our elected and appointed state officials and all who work with them for the people of Missouri and the United States is not a small thing.

It was never intended by God for us to carry any care or burden without Him ... or without each of us as a Christian people being involved.

1 Timothy 2:1-4 NLT
"I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.

Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.

This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth."

I encourage your prayer and support of all our elected officials. None of us are Perfect, but each of these men and women are in place for a time such as this. May God strengthen each of them, guide them with Wisdom, protect them and lead them into Perfect Peace.

Amen.

Knowing Who is Who in a Fallen World.

Faith without works is dead. Faith with the appropriate work LIVES.

"Servants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not only when their eyes are on you as pleasers of men, but in simplicity of purpose [with all your heart] because of your reverence for the Lord and as a sincere expression of your devotion to Him.

Whatever may be your task, work at it heartily (from the soul), as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, Knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [and not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [real] reward. [The One Whom] you are actually serving [is] the Lord Christ (the Messiah)." Colossians 3:22‭-‬24 AMPC

Faith or Trust doesn't take place in a vacuum - it's Relational between two or more of us.

Faith comes from reverence and sincere devotion to each other. That Trust is one of Loyalty, Respect & Honour that goes both ways.

God sets the standard for Faith High and meets it even when we cannot. He remains Faithful to us as His children even when we are not found Faithful. He Respects the Free Will of our choices that He gave each of us when we miss the mark.

Without Faith, it is impossible to please God.

That means without a relationship that naturally manifests Loyalty, Respect & Honour from both parties, neither is ultimately pleased.

When we watch the events of each day in our country, do we have spiritual eyes and ears to clearly understand Who is Who based on how they treat others?

True Success in God's Love

God lovingly anticipates and moves toward us with divine favor even before we ask. Yield your thoughts and itinerary to his guiding and he will enrich your life and bring success, not through your efforts but through His Love.

Isaiah 65:24 NLT
"I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!"

Matthew 6:7-8 NLT
“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!"

Romans 8:26-27 NLT
"And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will."
