Walnut Ridge FUMC looks forward to new beginnings. Our next chapter is being written as we prepare to welcome Rev. Glenn Hicks and his wife, Judith. Pastor Glenn comes to us from FUMC of Marianna where he has served for 12 years. His first Sunday with us will be July 5th. We look forward to welcoming them to our family!

We are so blessed to have District Superintendent Reverend Zach Roberts joining us for our Ash Wednesday service tonight at 6:00. We would love to see you there.

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a 40 day season leading up to Easter. It’s a time to reflect, reset, and draw a little closer to God. Some people choose to give something up for Lent, others choose to add something meaningful like daily prayer, reading scripture, or serving others.

So, I’m curious… are you giving something up this year, or adding something in? 🤍

Either way, tonight is a beautiful place to start. Join us at 6:00.

🎉 Ribbon Cutting Celebration! 🎉

Join the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate Blackbird Fine Arts with a ribbon cutting ceremony!

Blackbird Fine Arts is a nonprofit organization providing FREE music and art classes to students across Lawrence County—no matter their financial background. Serving around 50 students each week, their programs include piano, drums, guitar, group art lessons, music for K–2nd grade, and a Rock Band Experience that will record an album at Sun Studio in Memphis in 2026. 🎶🎨

Students meet for eight-week sessions that conclude with a live concert on March 9.

Come help us celebrate an organization that is making a powerful difference in the lives of our local youth through creativity, confidence and community support.
