On Tuesday evening our Men's Club put together a great musical program featuring our Hazzan Sandy Bernstein accompanied by many congreants and a professional rock band.

The Program titled "Jews in Music" included songs performed by the Hazzan and Friends, and the raffling of the painting "Jews in Music" by Ron Lewis (the creator of the famous "Jews in Baseball" painting).

Both of these paintings can still be purchased by any and all by scanning the QR code in the paintings being displayed at our Synagogue.

Adam Brooks was the Chair and MC of this program and did a fabulous job!

Enjoy the video - we sure enjoyed being there in person!

What do Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu and Moses have in common? More than you might think.
This week’s Torah portion, Ki Tisa, gave me a new lens through which to see one of the Bible’s most dramatic moments — the shattering of the tablets. When I read it alongside Liu’s story of burnout, self-discovery, and triumphant return to the ice, I found a surprisingly profound connection: ADHD.
Both Liu and Moses show us what becomes possible when the people around us choose to listen, adapt, and make space — rather than demand conformity.

Olympic gold medalist and Bay Area native Alysa Liu came to mind when Rabbi Daniel Stein reread the story of the golden calf.
