East Stokes Outreach Ministry (ESOM) was born out of a partnership between local churches and caring members of the Walnut Cove community in 1989. From the beginning, our purpose
has been simple yet powerful: to provide food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance to neighbors facing tough times in the eastern portion of Stokes County, while reflecting the love of Christ. The Thrift Store is

So far this year at ESOM:

🥫 1,039 individuals have visited our food pantry for assistance, helping provide food for a total of 2,461 people including family members

✨ 50 new clients visited ESOM’s food pantry for the very first time

👕 1,220 people have received free clothing through our thrift store vouchers — including two outfits per family member, plus shoes and socks

Thank you to our wonderful community for donating, shopping, volunteering, giving generously, and caring so deeply for our neighbors in need. We couldn’t do this without you! ❤️
