Michael W. Granwehr went home to the Lord on September 8, 2026. May he rest in eternal peace.

Mr. Granwehr is survived by his children, Kevin (Leah), Kerry (John), Faith, Katie (Daniel) and Christopher; six grandchildren; four sisters; and one brother.

He was predeceased in 2018 by his wife of 49 years, Peggy Granwehr.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, Sept. 15, and from 9:30 to 10:30 am Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Carr Funeral Home, 935 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford, PA 19086.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Wednesday, Sept. 16, at St. John Chrysostom.

Interment will be at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.

Memorial donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation: https://t2t.org/ or to the Gary Sinise Foundation: https://www.garysinisefoundation.org/.

We Place in Your Loving Arms
God of love we place in your loving arms the thousands of innocent lives that were lost on that unforgettable morning of September 11, 2001. We also remember the courage of the countless men and women who put their lives at risk in order to rescue, alleviate and bring solace to the afflicted. Help us to continue to work for a world free from every form of hatred, violence and ignorance. May terrorism -- in all its forms -- disappear from the face of the earth. 🕊️

The countdown to this Saturday is on!
At 4 pm, we will start our year of celebrating 75 years as a parish with an Anniversary Mass. Then, at 5 pm, all are invited to join your fellow parishioners at a party in the back parking lot. No need to make dinner that night, as there will be food, fun, swag, live music, games and togetherness -- all the stuff that makes a party a party. We can't wait to celebrate with you! 🎂

To top it all off, Sunday is St. John Chrysostom's feast day, so there will be hospitality after all Sunday Masses.☕
