Today, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Pastor David Christenson’s ordination. Pastor Dave served as the Pastor for both St. Stephen's Lutheran Church - ELCA and Gethsemane Lutheran Church - ELCA for many years until his retirement.

We recently celebrated his 60 years in ministry just this past May, here at Gethsemane.

He was a friend and Pastor to us all, and we hold his wife, Joanne, in our hearts.

May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

The American Red Cross has declared the second national blood crisis in its history. All blood types are needed, but the situation is especially dire for type O. The blood supply fell nearly 25% in June, and blood donations are now at a four-year summer low.
