Colossians 3:23-24 I think Labor Day is kind of a strange holiday. And it's difficult for a preacher to know what to preach on Labor Day Sunday. It's not one of the major holidays. Relatives don't come. There is no turkey to eat or presents to unwrap. But work is a important part of our lives. This Sunday I am back to a three-point sermon, we will explore these three points; the nature of work, the purpose of work and the result of work. Join us this Sunday as we go to work.

So, this message doesn't have points, this message is showing five key things to remember when going through a storm in life. 1. He BROUGHT me here. (Verse 22) 2. He BEARS me in prayer. (Verse 23-24) 3. He BIDS me to come. (Verse 25-29) 4. He BUILDS my faith. (Verse 30-32) 5. He BRINGS me through. We’re looking at the question: “What do I leave my children when I die?” I’m getting to the age where I’ve got to consider writing a “Last Will and Testament.” I have to decide what kind of inheritance I’m going to leave my children. I think a lot of parents want something better for their children than what they had. But this brings to question what is better? People are attracted to entertainment with dazzling special effects. Simon the Sorcerer amazed the people of Samaria with his impressive tricks and dynamic personality. But when Philip and Peter came to the city, he encountered real power--unmistakable miraculous healings which caught his attention. The big difference between Simon and the disciples is that they gave Christ the credit and attention, not themselves. Simon boastfully called himself the “Great Power”. Join us this Sunday as we explore the difference between a true conversion to Christ and a counterfeit one.
