Thankful for this sweet group of girls from Greenwell Springs Baptist Church! They spent a few hours with me sorting, organizing and writing notes of encouragement to kids who will come into care.
There have been a handful of times that one of the volunteers that comes through will mention to me that they have been affected by foster care.
Today there were two girls that shared with me that they’ve been affected; one currently in foster care living with a relative, and one newly adopted!!
One of the girls hugged me bye and said “I LOVED helping a ministry like the ministries that have helped me.”

Sometimes ministry can be exhausting and isolating. Sometimes it feels like you’re fighting an uphill battle for change in the system. Sometimes it seems like no matter how hard you beg people to be apart of caring for the most vulnerable among us, it’s never enough.
But then days like today, The Lord shows you a small glimpse of something so beautiful: a little tiny reminder that this work matters. And while it may go unnoticed by man, The Lord is always at work behind the scenes. And this work is The Heart of Our God!
And that gives me the fuel I need to keep on keeping on…. For the one. Even, for just the one.
