Please join us for a benefit! One of our church's family is dealing with a difficult journey and health diagnosis of ALS- amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gherig's Disease. Please help us SHOW UP for Kim and her family. This is the beginning of a long road for them, and we desire to love, pray for, and support them as they negotiate this difficult road! Please join us in praying for and supporting Kim and her family.

Meet the Member Monday-on a Tuesday! 😬
This week, I'd like to introduce you to Wyatt Marcengill. Wyatt and his Nana, Sharon, have been coming to GIBC for about 14 years. He says his favorite part of our church community is encouraging others and doing fellowships! He states that he "loves to act jolly around people" and his favorite verse that has been encouraging lately is Psalm 100:1 "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands."
Wyatt is from Westminster, and his favorite food is vegetables. God has been moving in his life recently in many ways-most recently he had open heart surgery and recuperated quickly! His encouragement to others that may be new in their faith is to trust God to help you in everything you do. That's good advice, Wyatt.

In today's "Meet the Member Monday", I'd like to introduce you to Gary and Nancy Nicholson! They have been attending GIBC for 3 years and appreciate the fellowship and love that they feel when attending. A little known fact is that they met at work, 48 years ago! That's a wonderful testimony to their love for each other and for their marriage! Nancy is from Michigan and New York State originally, while Gary was local to Salem all of his life. They now reside together in Salem, SC. Their favorite foods are okra (Nancy) and fried potatoes (Gary). One way that they feel God has been moving in their lives lately is helping them through and encouraging them in times of sickness and to be at peace with God's plan. Nancy finds comfort in Psalms 23. We are so thankful that they are a part of our church, and are blessed to have them with us.
If you'd like to meet Gary and Nancy, and other lovely people just like them, we'd love to have you join us at GIBC. Service times are 10am on Sundays for Sunday School, 11am for Sunday Worship, and 6pm for Sunday evening services. Mid-week services on Wednesdays start at 6:30pm.

In today's "Meet the Member Monday", I'd like to introduce you to Joseph Ojeda. Joseph has been coming to GIBC for about 10 years and during that time, he has been one of our most devoted youth! Joseph attends with his parents and has one sister-Hannah, who we've also featured. Joseph says that he loves coming to GIBC because everyone is understanding and willing to help fellow church members. A fun fact about Joseph is that he is quite the accomplished cook! His favorite food is carnitas! Yum!!!
Joseph is from upstate South Carolina and says that recently Ephesians 4:32 has been his favorite Bible verse. Joseph is especially thankful that God has been moving in his life recently to allow him to go to college. His advice for newcomers to the faith is that God will never put you through something you can't handle. That's great advice, Joseph!
Would you like to have your children join our great group of youth members and meet other young adults like Joseph that are serving Christ? We'd love to have you visit with us!
