St. John's Lutheran Church, Walhalla Founded in 1853, St. St. John's Lutheran Church, also known as St. John's German Evangelical Church of Walhalla, is a historic church at 301 W.

John's is a vibrant faith community focused on worshiping God, growing in Christ and serving the community as we embrace an ever-changing world. Main Street in Walhalla, South Carolina. It was built in 1859 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

There are several opportunities to learn and grow in your faith here at St. John's!

Sundays at 10am: Children's Sunday School with Adriana, Confirmation (Grades 6+) with Mr. Mark, and Adult Sunday School with Scott (starts up on September 13)!

Weekdays: Evening Bible Study, Mondays at 6pm with Adriana. Morning Bible Study is Tuesdays at 11am with Pastor Rachel (starting after Labor Day).

Let us pray for the all affected by the floods in Nepal and Tibet. 🕊

We are horrified and saddened by the news coming from Nepal about the flash flooding today. The ELCA is in contact with our companions and partners in Nepal as the impact continues to unfold. We hold our companions and partners, and the people of Nepal and Tibet in prayer in this incredibly challenging time.

Let us pray:

Loving God, in the communion of Christ, we are joined with the trials and sufferings of all. Be with the people of Nepal and Tibet affected by devastating flash flooding. Protect those who remain in danger, comfort those who grieve, strengthen first responders and aid workers, and guide leaders as they coordinate relief efforts.

Surround our companions and partners with your presence and peace. In the midst of uncertainty and loss, sustain hope, courage, and resilience through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
