We invite you to begin the Holy Week journey with us. Our Palm Sunday begins with Breakfast tomorrow, March 29th at 9:00 AM and Worship Service at 10:00 am. The menu includes scrambled eggs, sausages, biscuits & gravy, cinnamon rolls, coffee, and juice. The Free Will donations will go towards new playground equipment for the Waldorf park.

We invite you to begin our Lenten journey with us.
Join us tonight for a Chicken Wild Rice Soup & Chili Supper and Bible Study at 5:30 PM. The meal is sponsored by our local Thrivent chapter. Worship service with Holy Communion follows at 6:30 pm. This will rotate weekly in our 4 parishes with Bible Study @ 5:30 pm, followed by worship service @ 6:30 pm beginning tonight, February 18th a First Lutheran, Waldorf, then Immanuel Lutheran Church - Freedom on Feb 25th, Trinity Lutheran Church - Wilton on March 4th and St. John's Lutheran Church, Danville Twp. Minnesota Lake, MN, March 11th., etc. All are welcome!

Everyone is invited to join us as we begin watching episode one of "The Chosen", on Sunday, January 25 then episode two on February 1 and episode three on February 15. We will begin at 6 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
"The Chosen" is a historical drama television series about the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth, primarily set in Judaea and Galilee in the first century. The series depicts Jesus's life through the eyes of the people who interacted with him, including the apostles and disciples of Jesus, Jewish religious leaders, Roman government and military officials, and ordinary people.

The birthday party for Jesus and showing of "Red Boots for Christmas" that was cancelled on December 28th due to weather, will be shown this coming Sunday, January 11th, at 9 am in the church fellowship hall. All are invited to join our Sunday School students for the movie and refreshments.
Then stay for worship with Holy Communion at 10 am.

We invite you to join us in our fellowship hall this Sunday, December 28th, at 9 am, as our children watch the movie, "Red Boots for Christmas". It tells of a lonely shoemaker in a German village, who learns the true meaning of Christmas, when he is asked to make a special pair of boots. Refreshments will also be served. All ages welcome! Then stay for our worship service @ 10 am.

The First Lutheran Church of Waldorf Sunday School children presented The Greatest Gift: The Birth of Our Savior on Sunday, December 21. They acted out the story of Jesus’ birth and the congregation sang songs that corresponded with each part of the story. Thank you to the children and all who worked together to share the message of Jesus' birth

A thought to meditate on during the Advent season.

On a silent night in Bethlehem 2,000 years ago, the world saw a newborn baby. Heaven saw the Lamb. The child wrapped in simple swaddling cloths was already carrying a mission that would shake the gates of hell. He came with a destiny, a purpose, and a plan set before the foundation of the world. The manger was not an accident. It was the first step toward Calvary.

We did not deserve it. We did not earn it. Yet God still sent His Son. Whether people believe it or not, the truth does not bow to opinion. Jesus was born in real history. He lived a perfect life. And He died a horrific, willing death on our behalf. The Lamb who lay in straw became the sacrifice who hung on wood.

This is the greatest gift ever given. Not mythology. Not tradition. Not a seasonal tale. This is the Creator stepping into His creation to redeem those who could never save themselves. The manger points to the cross, and the cross points to the empty tomb. That is why we celebrate. That is why we stand in awe. Jesus Christ, the spotless Lamb, came for us.

Sunday School and Adult Bible class has been cancelled for today, Nov. 30th. There will still be Worship Service at 10 am. God's blessings as we begin another week and also a new church year on this first day of Advent.
