Good morning, to all that see this post, rest assured that no matter what is going on in your life God is aware of it, and He's working things out for your good. The pain and discomfort that we feel has a divine purpose, God is perfecting in you, and I His desire for our lives. Often times when we're experiencing the troubles of life we're quick to say that the devil is doing it, but I've discovered, that when you and I are going contrary to God's plan, God's will for our lives, He will allow us to experience some discomforts not to harm us but to bring us back into alignment with His will for our lives, and He does this because of His great love for us. So don't be so quick to abort the process that God has you in right now, He's up to something, He's working all things together for your good. We can't attain the promise if we abort the process.

This is the day that The Lord hath made we will rejoice and be glad in it. I like many of you have literally been in tears a lot lately as I have watched the coming together of many people in support of the black man and his plight in america. We as a people have never asked for hand outs, we've only asked for the opportuntiy to have access to the same liberties and freedoms that all other races enjoy in this country. No other race will ever understand what it is, and what it means to be a black man in america. We are hardworking, dependable, and dedicated people to a fault. We didn't ask for welfare, nor are we the greatest recipients of it, welfare was, and is the government's attempt to supplement the injustice done to us by and unfair labor and employment system, which was designed to keep us dependent upon a system so that we would not strive to reach our full potential that was displayed by our ancestors. Our ancestors were not only hard workers , but they were smart, and witty. They created many inventions to help make the forced labor easier, but they were not given any credit for the inventions for they were stolen from them and patented under the name of the master. I remember as a child growing up my parents always taught us, me and my brothers that we had to work twice as hard, and be twice as good as the white kids to be accepted, and as a child I did not understand but as I grew older I understood why my parents taught us in that way. There is no race of people on this planet that has suffered the injustices and humiliations like the black man. It has always amazed me that in a country that was built on the backs of african americans we never have enjoyed any the fruit of our labor. And what I've come to understand is that the reason why we are not enjoying the fruit of our labor is because those that have the fruit did not labor for it, and to give us access to it would be an admittance that they did not labor for it. In other words much of the fruit that they possess was stolen and that being the case, to give it back, or even to allow us to have some access to it, would be an admittance of wrong doing. But I submit to them, and to you brothers and sisters, it is never to late to do, what is right to do. Though the killing of George Floyd was wrong, and I thank God for the acknowledging of that fact, but if you have lived as long as I have you know that this was going on long before brother Floyd, and on a grander scale, and it was much more horrific. So the question I pose today is where do we go from here? How do we bring substantive change out of so much sacrifice. Black lives do matter. Let us take full advantage of this moment while we have the attention of the whole world before other distractions set in, and we and our agenda be moved to the back burner. This is a watershed moment in time, we must seize it.

LORD, please send your breath from heaven and cleanse the air, our mouths, and our bodies of this COVID 19 virus. God your people they love you, and many are afraid, many have not been able to see loved ones who are in hospitals on ventilators, and even worse many could not be at the bedside of loved ones as they transitioned, loved ones cannot even attend homegoing celebrations to say goodbye, or see you later to those who have died, Lord we need you, please come and see about your people. Give our leaders wisdom, compassion, and humility as they contemplate opening back up our country, let them not focus on dollars but on the sanctity of life. Father in heaven, hear the plea of your servant, give us knew hope, new mercy, and new grace, as embark upon a brand new way of life. I know that we are social creatures by nature, help us to make the adjustment to a new way of living, void of hand shakes and excessive embracing until such a time that you allow us to resume some measure of normalcy. God we're sorry for the ways in which we have been acting as a people, we have transgressed your law and stand in the need of forgiveness, we ask in faith that you would forgive us, and grant us another opportunity to do your will and not our own. Lord I know that you have placed an expiration date on COVID 19 give your people the patience to wait until that date manifests, provide all of their needs so that they don't feel compelled to go back into the workforce before you say it is safe to go. Father, we're not fearful teach us how to exercise wisdom so that we will not be fooled by our emotions. Lord, we love you, we praise you, we thank you, and we give you all the glory.

Today, I just want to tell my lovely wife how proud I'am of her and her commitment to her family. She has taken on the awesome responsibility of caring for her elderly mother, I watch how she so meticulously, and patiently deal with her mother. She prepares everything just right for her mother from her breakfast, baths, clothes, bedroom, her hair and nails. She really walks out Exodus 20:12 where it says Honor thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. She is the perfect example of love and grace and I'm so blessed to have her as my wife, my best friend, my comfort, and confidant. I love you with every fiber of my being. Thank you God for caring so much for me that you gave me this incredible woman.

Thank you Lord for life, health, and strength, for clothing me in my right mind, for the use and activity of all my limbs, for family and friends but most importantly for your Son Jesus Christ who died that we all might live. To Him be glory, majesty, dominion, and power now, and forever.

As I reflect back on my many years of serving in the United States Army I pause to give God praise for allowing me to travel to many parts of the world, meeting new people, learning different languages and cultures. Establishing meaningful and lasting relationships. I'm grateful for all of the experiences I have had some good, and some bad but through them all God made me a better man and the experiences have given me the ability to deal with whatsoever may come my way. Everything that has transpired in my life up until this very moment was all preparation for this phase of life that God presently has me in. Who would have thought that God would take a country boy like me with no desire for sacred things all over the world to give me the insight and knowledge of who He is and the greatness of His love and power and then call me to His service. I've learned through my journey with The Lord that God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called. Moses was not qualified but through his journey on the backside of the desert for some forty years tending to Jethro's flock God was preparing him for his assignment (Deliverer) of the people of God from the bo***ge of Egypt. Preparation always precedes the call. For someone reading this post today maybe God is preparing you for His calling of you, you might not have to go all over the world, you may not be on the back side of the desert, you may be in the midst of turmoil and you don't know which we to turn, you may be facing a life time of incarceration, you may be facing a terminal illness, you may be homeless or jobless. God uses whatsoever He has to in order to get our attention. He wants us to acknowledge His calling. As I celebrate this veteran's day I'm reminded of The call Of God and I thank Him for giving me a mind to receive His calling and for His precious Holy Spirit that leads and guides me in His calling. Is God calling you today? Please answer His calling I can assure you that you will make no greater decision than to heed the calling of God. Happy veterans day to all who have served, are serving, and intend to serve. May The God of all heaven and earth bless you and keep you is my prayer.

Obedience touches the heart of God, God's heart controls His hands, In God's hands is everything we so desire of Him, if you want to get all that God has for you it starts with your obedience unto Him. Stop placing so much stock in sacrificing, yes we must sacrifice but God prefers obedience over your sacrifice. So today, let us begin a anew be determined to obey God in every area of your life and watch the transformation that God will bring forth in you. The adversary doesn't mind you knowing God, he knows Him as well, what gets you and I on the adversary's radar is when we begin to obey God, this is when we become public enemy number one to the adversary. When you and I obey God we turn our backs to the adversary and he now knows that we are formidable foes because God grants the power of The Holy Spirit in different proportions to those who truly obey Him. Ex: David was no match for goliath as a boy but when he invited God into the situation and because David was obedient to God, he slung his sling shot with just one smooth stone in it and slew a giant, a man of war, battle tested not to mention that he (goliath) was over 9 feet tall and dressed in all of his battle attire, yet the smooth stone that David slung guided by the Holy Spirit hit the giant in the precise spot where he was vulnerable. You can't tell me that God didn't do that. I said all of that to tell someone that through your obedience God will slay every giant that is coming against you, God will protect and keep you if you will obey Him. In this eight month, eight being the number of new beginnings, I encourage you to start right now obeying God and God will take you to heights you never imagined. May The God of peace guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
